Did I mention the use of the small ball also??????? I don't remember the Famous Recipe Tournament in the 70's. All that's right they didn't have the tournament nor did they have many of these other awards you mentioned. Walz was a great High School player. Did she play Division 1 college and if so were they ranked nationally? http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/ubb/confused.gif :confused: Before Title IX players were not promoted as they are now. The coaching is better today (because now they are paid competively to the mens coaches and more qualified people compete for the job). There were not organized girls basketball leagues until they tried out for H.S. and playing on a boys team was unheard of. Around Title IX players practiced once a week after the 6th grade boys B team was finished. The added three point line is a great equalizer as well as having the opportunity to play as a 7th grader. Hummm. Can you compare apples to oranges? I think your overlooking some of the great players: Murphy, Lyons, Ryan, Edgington.
