His problem wasn't a lack of desire to recruit elite talent. It was not having a viable backup plan when said talent picked another school...
For what it's worth I agree.

When did this happen? During the Montgomery County game?
Dials went down in the montgomery game and Welch went down in practice.
-
Do you know what year that was??
1988

I was a little disappointed in the way JC started last night. Paintsville was much more ready for this game than we were. JC came out very flat. Paintsville slapped them in the mouth the second they took the field by disrupting their entrance and stomping on the big eagle at midfield. You would have thought that would have gotten them a little fired up, but Paintsville looked very good the first quarter. They were just wore down by the bigger team. I must be part of the minority but I don't think paintsville is going to loose the rest of their regular season games. They are better than people are giving them credit for.

I didn't want him hired. I must now admit I'm glad he's here.

Curry is right.
Curry is a joke.

Is it just me but does Curry need to shut up?

How can you not go for 2!

Not in this case.....Johnson Central has been a Juggernaut in EKY for 3 years counting now. Wheelersburg is getting ready to host a team that is good as Ironton or Portsmouth, when they have very good football Teams. The "smart pick" IMO goes to the KY team.
Why did you pick the Ohio team in the poll?

I was out at JC's field today and the carpet is down to about the 50 yard line.

This was a great game to watch.

15th, He plays for Johnson Central.Congrats Justin from the 16th -
This is dangerous. IMO, 7/8th graders should not be allowed to play any V sport. I think it is a matter of time before a real injury occurs and the KHSAA finally adopts the rules used by other states, meaning, middle school kids play middle school sports. Once becoming a freshman, good luck and more power to you playing V.
Depends on the kid Johnson Central has a 8th grader who is 6ft4 and throws in the lower 80's. It was dangerous for him to throw against some middle school players. If you have a kid that big who throws that hard why stunt his development? If you are worried about a REAL injury, worry about the 5ft3 85lb. 6th or 7th grader who has to face these physicaly developed young men.

I would also like to congradulate Justin. He is one of the hardest working young men on the baseball field I have ever met. He also conducts himself on and off the field the way a young man should. His older brother Adam is the same way,and younger brother Seth is a preatty good boy when his eyes are closed (j/k). Mom and Dad have alot to be prouf of.

Now that is FUNNY.:laugh:Did he fax in the results??? -
Does anyone know the date of the Huntington High banquet?
-
I guess I am echoing what everyone else has said, but I just can't understand a guy leaving (Cook) that was hardly even noticeable when he was on the floor.
I keep thinking some of these kids and their parents will learn from the mistakes of those who went before them, but then again, people never cease to amaze me.
How noticable would he be with Conley and Oden on the floor? I have saw him play in person and Cook very well MAY suprise you at the next level.

^NO way, hes making 1.6 million to do what he does best...
Yep, sit the bench.

I watched every game in the tournament and he wont ride the pine lol. And it was for hanging on the rim they called it, the ref was onto him all game, they didnt like him. But this team did put on a show, and the way they played int he tourney no KY team could have beat them. Patterson was the leading scorer the first game. WV tournament is awesome, I have been to Kentucky and WV and WV is so fun, you would be suprised, I seen alot of Kentucky folks at the games.
I also watched the game and they T'd him up for throwing the ball in the stands. He threw himself a lob off the backboard from about 35 feet, dunked it then threw the ball in the stands. Great play classless act. IMO

JC has some shoes to fill, but has a lot of talent coming back from a regional championship team. No disrespect to last seasons team, but I think they will be better next season. I'm not saying they will go any further because I feel like they will have to improve their passing game to go any further. The personell is there for JC to be very good for the forseable future.

The ones that I think have a chance, from JC- Tackett, Johnson, Grim, from Ashland- Mcdavid, from Bell- Slusher, from Rock-Miller, Durham. These are the ones I think have a chance hopefully region four will get a few to represent us.Hey Eagle Pride who do you think will make it from the Johnson Central, Ashland Region? I cant remember what our region is. -
When are they announced?
-
That would be top four by your list if your counting half the state bracket. Top three in region.#1 Cov Cath. There can be no argument.#2 Highlands. Far superior defense compared to Lex Cath, just as good as LC on O, just a different style of O.
#3 Lex Cath. Excellent team speed and skill players.
#4 Johnson Central. Definitely a good team but not as good as 1,2&3.
#5 Bowling Green. Just not as good as in past years.
It is a shame that the top 3 teams in 3A had to be in the same half of the bracket.
