  1. I don't care about 40 times. I care about on the field and there was not that much of a difference in their game speed.

I respectfully disagree, when Josh got in the open field it was very unlikely he was caught. I have witnessed Chris get run down quite a few times. Also i believe Mark Kelly was faster than his brother and I know for a fact Josh is faster than Mark, seen the two in a foot race.

  2. Yes very good athletes and younnnnnng on both teams. I will tell you this much Holy Cross is one very physical team. They will win their share of games this yr, thats for sure.

Highlands on the other hand is young and inexperienced and it showed at times. Bigger test for the LBs on Thurs nite as they head to Louisville to take on Sacred Heart Academy.

Not sure if the Birds can play at that level, I am sure SHA is loaded with Jrs and Srs and will cause Highlands problems with their talent and depth.

Even if the LB dont get a win they will certainly get a chance to see where they need to be as a team to compete at the big time level. This game only makes them better imo.

    Good Luck Ladybirds.

Agreed HHS is a young team but they had two srs contribute in the. game last night, Allie Conner and Kelsey Dunn This team is showing signs of a pretty good team
  3. Kids played more aggressive defense, shot the three and attacked the basket. Having depth with Lay and Earls back most certainly helps and also the three guard option with Popp, Gabbard and Schultz. The beauty of Earls being out is Boone has Trevan Brown in the mix and he can score. Great to see Earls and Brown on floor at same time. This gives Boone a lot of options with all of these players healthy and contirbuting.

Attitudes and team play seemed more cohesive. Looks like they worked on a lot with the boys mentally and physically.

Overheard one Mother say her son said he didn't have to tell her everything that was discussed in practice. lol sounds like they want parents attitudes out of the mix. lol

I Think you want the boys sight
  4. IN MY OPINION

The two clowns missing from the Barnum and Bailey Circus apparently found two referee uniforms and masqueraded as officials tonight in Walton. The older one, (Methuselah) and the younger one who wore a referee shirt that didn’t exactly accentuate his figure were perhaps the worst I’ve ever seen. The good official demonstratively made a charging call that occurred about two feet from him under the basket. Methuselah runs over from 15-20 feet away and discusses the call with the official. The end result is a double foul called by Methuselah. The offensive player called for charging and the defensive player called for blocking. The larger, younger official wearing the hip hugger referee shirt seem to be yearning for the approval of Methuselah in every horrendous call he made. Next time you guys take a leave of absence from Barnum and Bailey may I suggest going to the local YMCA and officiate 3 and 4 year old soccer games. A woeful performance tonight that I’m sure was noted by some.

I have to agree. Never saw a charge/block changed to a double foul. Officiating was pretty sad.
  5. Allen was the only player missing?

How do most teams perform without their best player, who also happens to be the point guard?

Highlands will be a very good team this season. Summer games are what they are...summer games.

Allen isn't the point guard. Last year she played the 2 spot most of the time
  6. The game WAS closer than the score indicates. Notre Dame could have very easily won this game. I hope there are no thoughts that Highlands dominated the game. I don't believe any more than 8 points seperated the teams the entire game.
I don't think anyone that saw this game thinks HHS dominated the game. They were down 4 with 2 minutes to go. I was impressed with the way they battled back to win. It would have been easy to quit at that point.NDA had momentum with them until Allen hit the three to bring them within one.
  7. I do think they are a decent team. I mean they have had a great year so far, they have achieved a very good in region record and stand a good chance of winning their region.
Well, I think they are a little more than a decent team. I think they have earned that respect with what they have already acheived.Oh,bye the way, they will be having two jr's and a soph starter returning next year. Also a jr. that plays alot
