When I played ball in school I thought one of my coaches was the greatest thing in the world. Years later I coached with him and realized that there was no way a child of mine would ever play for this man. I'm not saying that this is the case here, but I am saying that kids this age don't always know what is best for them.

Matman, I have not heard anything to that effect. I think it is wrong to hold the current coaches responsible for the mess left by the previous coach. From what I saw these guys stepped in and tried to prevent the kids from losing a sport they had worked very hard at. Because of knee jerk reactions to title IX and the fact that the wrestling doesn't generate much if any revenue, a sport like wrestling can't afford the grandstanding and battles with Administrators that occured at PCC. PCC wrestling may need a different coach but the old coach is not the answer. And yes I do realize just how close you are to the former coach:sssh:

I got to watch Derick Flinchum play a lot this year. He played played DT also. He was usually matched up over the other teams best o-lineman. The kid was usually double teamed and still was a force.
