I am mildly curious if the Cantrell, Lit, etc. take the little bit that was played, in the event that the decision stands, into next week's rankings.
Good question...
-
I was running stairs at Old cardinal...all they have to do is move the pitchers mound and home plate dirt....
-
old Cardinal stadium could still be used...
-
I agree....play Saturday...for the seniors
-
X is not looking very X like...2 turnovers....and stupid penalties....fasemask away from the ball gives T a first when they looked like they were stopped....Phillips takes off on nice run after....
X also was moving the ball and then illegal motion killed the drive....
T defense looks very strong up the gut....X getting nothing up the middle...but getting 5 a pop on sweeps...
T's Phillips has impressed me....for being so little he is very quick and apparently hard to tackle...

Just got in from the game...my little one was not up for the delay or weather.....other games in Jeff Co. have been cancelled...I haven't heard anything yet on this one....I'll go back out if it starts up

Did Jody publish a prediction for the game tonight? I can't find it online and I don't remember if I saw one in the print edition of the paper this morning.
....I couldn't find Jodie's pick online either

CJ's "The book" has X by 10. I hope they're right..

I Cant put it off til Saturday! I have to referee youth football all day saturday.
we'll miss ya...there's always next year...

Things arent gonna work out for me. Last minute letdown! I really wanted to go to this game.
Why do Friday what you can put off until Saturday???

Stat St.X Trinity
Points scored 155 154
Points allowed 41 33
Rush yards 919 814
Pass yards 520 657
Rush allowed 281 427
Pass allowed 531 475
X's Wade is completing 68% of his passes for 298 yards with 3 TDs and 1 INT
X also uses Zoeller at QB...stats not available.
T's Petrino is completing 58% of his passes for 606 yards with 8 TDs and 3 INTs
X's Anderson has rushed for 534 yards and 11 Tds
T's Phillips has rushed for 562 yards and 9 TDs
As you can see X and T are very close stat wise...but you must take in account that X has played the #4, #6, and #16 teams in the State according to Cantrell. Trinity has only played the #8 team but did play a very good MBA team.

Way to go Baby Bengals! :ylsuper:
Besides the players, a special commendation needs to go out to Head Coach Dan McCue and his Assistants, Mike Brockman, Wil Wolford, Ray Rayome, Phil Evans, Irv Hoffman, Bob Schweitzer, and Chad Tinnell for the tremendous improvement this team has made since the opening game with Moeller. What a sweet way to start your head coaching career, Dan! :thumb:
Sounds like a lot of hard work has paid off...:thumb:

There are several boys that we know that are not big linemen. They are quick off the ball and can play several different linemen positions due to the fact they are quick.

Elvis Dumervil from UL was under-sized...but his speed and technique led to a few sack records...
-
Great job Tigers......sounds like you've come a long way in a few weeks....
-
I think that Ryan would be a great addition to either team. But, UK has shown a lot of interest and offered first. UofL hasn't been as aggressive. It may be a case of the early bird....
UL doesn't punt ....well not nearly as much as UK...
For the record...this kid is good and so is his back-up at T.
-
OK it is official...65 will be open....
-
65 will be open. They decided not to work because of all the expected rain.
If you're sure...that'll save me a phone call later....
-
I'll be there...of course....only missed 1 since the 5th grade...and that was because Uncle Sam had something more important for me to do...
..I65 maybe open....the police officers for the shutdown were cancelled today....I'll know more later...

Victor Anderson Nominated To Play In U.S. Army All-American Bowl 9/19/2006 2:37:25 PM
Senior running back Victor Anderson was one of five high school football players in Kentucky nominated to participate in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, which will be played in San Antonio on Sunday, January 7, 2007. Anderson was among three from Louisville to be nominated. Later this month, only the top 78 players will be selected from the list of 400 nominations to play. The all-star bowl game will be televised live on NBC.
Who are the other four???
-
Brown and Williamson sold out.....I was too late!!! Here are some traffic tips for the game...remember that 65 is closed for re-paving...
-
I believe it will be Beaumont or Anderson all others deserve a mention but in reality the choice does become somewhat political and success of team is in reality big.
As far as athletic ability between the two, there is not a great distinction between the two as others posting here would lead you to believe. They are both great athletes with similar abilities. Both will play D1.
If I had to pick they are so close I would end up being predjudice and choose Anderson. I see both going on to great college carreers. I hope they both do it in their home state.

Doug plays about every position on the field for Male. Vic runs a 4.3....I'll take whoever you don't want...and I still win.....Both are very good...I would love to see them both at UL...
-
And 7 beats 6 every time.
And 6 is afraid of 7 because 7, 8, 9!
-
Vic Anderson scores every 4.5 times he touches the ball. He gets my vote as the most explosive.
:thumb:
With his incredible speed and tackle breaking ability, Vic is a major threat to score everytime he touches the ball...
-
I can buy some of the arguments, ban can not concede receivers to X...they don't get enough exposure.
:thumb:
Knock it off RP...that's 2 posts that I agree with you ...and on X/T week...
Passifume and Simmons are very good and very fast but not used as much as Trinity's WRs.
X is a whole lot more balanced this year than years past. The keying on Vic and Duece has opened up the passing game...and they will even run the halfback pass...like on Highlands.

Bigger crock for the seniors from both teams....
