I agree with you Tony. If Cov Cath stops the run early it's over. JC has no plan B or adjustments to make. Either lining up and winning the line works or it doesn't. Defense is solid but not great so Cov Cath will score so JC needs to get the run rolling from the start.

Well considering both CovCath and Highlands would be considered underdogs they will have to play their best football to get out of Johnsonville with a win...:thumb:

Do your even hear yourself? I guess it never gets old for some on here. Only about half the JC fans I know think they will beat Cov Cath and 0% of them believe they can beat Highlands.

Besides Highlands who else would they beat?

Haha nice try. Just because I'm a JC fan doesn't mean I'm crazy. They wouldn't come within 4tds of highlands. I think with the exception of Highlands and Moeller they could be in any of those games. Doesn't mean I think they would have won the other 8 but would have a chance in them.

Half the post say they are hurt while half say no. Why be like the New England Patroits when it comes to injuries? lol

I think JC could have won 6 or 7 with that schedule. 6 would have been more likely.

Today is an example of why I love 50/50s. Had a soSo to bad 1pm football lineup, scored around 116 but finished 38th out of 100. $5 bet to $9 when I had a bad lineup. I entered a late $5 NBA as well.

Reverse the two schools schedules and the heading would read more like CovCath 11-0 vs JC 4-6...

 

Its all about the competition fellas and this is why CovCath healthy or not will still win this annual matchup again. It would not surprise me if the Blueboys don't win by 2+ TD's:thumb:

4-6? I'm interested in this opinion. Break down the schedule and list the six you think they would lose. I'm not saying you are wrong I just haven't seen the schedule.

Don't risk injury. Give the starters a series or two then use the Freshman team.

So what prevents someone from trading all their top draft picks for next year to make a strong run at the championship and then just not come back next year because they don't have any picks and their team will be terrible?

 

Granted most of our "owners" are here for the long haul but I think being able to trade future draft picks is a dangers precedent to set for a league that is free. Especially when the majority of us have never met each other. Just something to consider. Would hate to see that mess with how great our league is.

Right now the only protection is the rules say the commish can put a trade to a league vote. Id had no problem if our trade went to that process.

16 teams adding a flex or TE makes free agent pool really thin. You draft then hope no one gets hurt. I wouldn't be against adding either but it does change things in the league.

You actually have a good point about the scheduling. Injuries aside, a lot of the varsity number twos would be starting a jv game and with the return trip involved this Scott Co. game doesn't make much sense.

Was the varsity game not scheduled when they agreed to the Jv? Honest question , I have no clue.

I'm not sleeping on the Belfry injury bug making it a impossible win for them but I do think it will play a huge role in this one.
