Depends on which JC team shows up. They better come with the shoes laced up or they will be in a war just like last night.

Congrats to Coach Rose.. Maybe he can get some of the parents off his back. I hope that Coach Rose continues to coach at Betsy Layne until he is ready to leave and not when a group of parents is ready for him to leave. Good win for the Bobcat program. They played really well last night.

Well, I hope that JC/Paintsville meet in the finals. What a game the other night and no reason not to repeat the performance with a bigger crowd in a a bigger venue. Of course I would hope that the Black and Gold came out on top...

Is Jack Hall making a comeback????
Who is Jack Hall? Will it be someone with a football reputation?
-
Well, this is what everyone wanted since the first day of basketball practice. Both teams had to play their guts out just to get to this point. I will give my prediction tomorrow.

I was amazed in watching the game tonight how little the Sheldon Clark coach responed to his team being outscored by 18 points in the 3rd quarter. With his team down 6 with about 4 minutes to go he watched his team stand around in a zone while JCHS moved the ball around to kill some clock. Finally assisatant coach Shawn Hager jumped up and took charge by turning up the pressure. Hager instinctively took over a couple of times tonight, while Hammond appeared unfocused or uncertain what was taking place.
Well, this brings me to my question that I was going to pose. Who is actually the coach of this team? I watched Shawn Hager do all the coaching during timeouts and he was the one that was getting on the officials or having discussions with them. I know that J.R. is supposed to be the head man, but looked like he had no interest in what was going on last night. Can anyone from S.C. explain this.
I thought Central played a great second half last night, looked like the first half was somewhat of a I am going to get mine attitude..They really good team ball in the second half.

I am totally shocked by this one.

 There was 23 in my graduating class... :scared: I ended up teaching at a school that has 1600 +
I went to grade school at Ezel. 1st thru 4th grade. The last year that I was there is the year that they went up on the hill where they are now.
Oh yeah.. Johnson Central.....

Who plays first tonight boys or girls?

Where are you today InTheLoop? Getting ready to go have lunch, want to join me?
-
I think he was the same coach setting on the bench the first time Johnson Central pounded them. I dont know what this has to do with this team except I just made a statement I think they are better this year without him.
Don't worry about it BuckMaster it is a touchy subject for King James.

If the Eagles don't get the ship righted this week, it could be a long night for them. But, I think they will pull out a 1 pt win.

What is Buddy Ryan's tie to Kentucky? Just wondering why he lived here now?

This score surprised me when I first saw it.. Sounds like it was one very good game to watch.
-
I would be willing to go out on a limb and say that SV keep raining the 3's all night too. I am going to see if I can find the box score.
-
The question that I have and maybe someone might have the answer to is. "How many 3's did Shelby Valley take in the game and how many did they hit?" Playing full court man to man defense is completely unexcusable in this situation. Sounds like coaches trying to pad their teams stats.

Isn't Saturday the 14th instead of the 15th?

How Keith Adkins from Paintsville. He could flat stroke the 3.

Watching the title game I noticed that all but 2 0f the starting 22 (offense and defense) for Texas were from Texas and all but 4 of USC's starters were from Calf. It was like watching a TX vs CA all star game. Both are large states with large populations, is the best HS talent from these two states? I think it makes atleast a strong case. It was amazing to see that many homegrown kids playing for schools of this caliber. U of L and UK obviously have no where near this level of local talent but that is to be expected given the small population of the state. I could not start to imagine what the TX and CA HS all star teams must be like if such exists. Anyone know if they have all star teams in these states and if so who do they play and how have they done?
If I am not mistaking, I think Texas and California does play an all-star game after their high school seasons are over. I actually think that Cali and Florida play an all-star game of some sort also.

Wow, that is a surprising score. Where was this game played?
-
Yes.
Thank you Gold Sunrise.. From the way that the one post was sounding, I didn't know if Coach Trusty was there or not. Would have hated to see him not on the staff.
-
Thanks Firebird, I should be there tonight....
-
Morgan has a couple really talented coaches in Coach Perry and Coach Wood (football). They get the most out of their teams. Both did an amazing job of turning both around.
Is Coach Trusty still on the staff?

Hey Firebird...sounds as though the guards put up some big numbers last night.. What time is the championship game tonight?

Great gutsy performance by the Eagles last night. I was impressed with how hard Pikeville played last night, Honaker is a player........Great game Eagles, first game jitters should be out of the way now.
