BGP #9 in 2A takes on Shawnee in this one. Thoughts?
CAL big.
-
North takes the L, wheels fall off in the second half, and them military boys pour it on!
Ha, I bet the lights will go out, and the Mustangs will get fired up and win.
-
If this is the same team that took LCA into overtime last week before losing. This could be a very good game. Good luck to both. And may the best team win!
CAL wins by 10-14 pts barring any turnovers- 2-3 turnovers then they lose!

South Oldham will show you class Friday' date=' Knute. And what does "where you there" mean?[/quote']
OL #70? Are you serious? I thought I was pretty clear. WHERE YOU AT THE GAME TO SEE WHAT NORTH OLDHAM AND TRIMBLE DID? North did none of those things you said. North scored 60 points on 33 offensive plays, 320 yds rusing- 3-6 passings 78 yds 3 tds. Anything else? Running clock near end of the 3rd quater.3 late Trimble turnovers made the score what it was. North was 0-10 in 2006 and won 7 games in the history before 2007, I'm sure North knows what it feels like to be undermanned. Do you try and get on here and beat your chest and talk smack? After Holy Cross this site was silent from loud mouths like you from HC. Some people will never learn to have class, it comes from their upbringing, and the education they receive. Have a great week, good luck at Anderson, I always pull for Henry except 1 game a year, unless loud mouths ruin what I think about the fine people of Henry Co. You should be ashamed by the way you get on this forum and represent Henry Co.

Passing late and a late onside kick in a 60-0 game is cllassy? Really?
OL #70 you can't spell class, where you there? Did not do a pass in the 4th quater. The onside kick was almost a whiff, not an attempt. So shut it.

Obviously, I don't speak for North Oldham, but since you're quoting me, you should at least go re-read the post you are quoting and see what I was referring to. I never said word one about Henry County running up the score on Trimble. In fact, I specifically stated in that thread that I did not question Henry's scoring vs. Trimble. I questioned Ol#70s comments of "(yawn)" and "...they got what they asked for, which is a running clock", both of which were unclassy comments that were exactly that, kicking a team when it was down. I don't see anyone on here from North Oldham making those kinds of comments, do you?
I have no problem with anyone questioning my posts so long as they do it accurately. Get your facts straight.
Amen Colonel-Trimble Co played hard and fought all the way. They were very brave and ALL 20 guys did their best.

Sounds like kicking the other guy when he is down ! Isn't that right ColonelMike. I don't think anyone has the right to run their mouth about Henry County running up the score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No one ran up the score, trimble fumbled 3 times to end the game and North Oldham subs scored with a running clock. North only had 35 offensive plays. 3-6 passing for 3 td's. North could have took a knee with 2:30 to go, but North scored on a fb dive from the 10. Could have possibly took a knee there but don't know if that would have ate up all the clock. North subs played with the intensity they are taught. Good overall game to get the Mustangs back on track.

Injuries as no excuse, hat's off to a solid well coached 2A football team in CAL.
None of the young starters stepped up for North to get any momentum going and the few veterans left available seemed no where to be found.
Given the pressure from CAL's D-Line North's QB did put at least 4 or 5 passes where they should have been caught in the hands of the receiving core which should be humiliated by their effort last night with an 0-13 receiving stat.
So where does Coach Billy Martin go from here ?
Obviously get people healthy is # 1.
#2 to me is find leadership to get the young starters a sense of stability in the heat of things.
#3 Don't panic! Ok, a young battered team played a solid more experienced team and got their butts kicked.
Move on. Get some focus back with a softer Trimble County game next week and then a win against Arch rival South Oldham the following
week could put thing right on track going into the key district games.
Lots of work to do!
That sounds good... but some boys are going to have to be men in a hurry. North needs a whole lot more toughness, or they will continue to struggle vs anyone. 15 guys not playing out of 70...come on that is ridiculus. We spoted them 24 points before we decided to play. You can not beat anyone like that The well coached Cal team had 10 fumbles and an interception, North made zero adjustments at halftime other than to challenge some players to rise up. 250 yds rusing in 2nd half, and should have had about 3 scores. Very poor effort by all involved, coaches, players, etc.

For the last 2-3 years Henry County has come a long way in football. After last season they were finally a known and well respected team in 3A. Last year they did lose a lot of talent but that cant be the excuse anymore. They may have lost some talent but i know for a fact there is still a lot of talent left at HC. The past players and current players worked so hard to get Henry County known and respected by so many people, i just hope this year it doesn't come crashing down. It was just the first game these boys have a long way to go. Dont count the Cats out just yet.....
The last 7 years they have been pretty soild.

North Oldham will be on Channel 32 as team of the week. The team will have to remain focused on this weeks game versus a good 5A J-town team and not worry about last weeks game. I believe they are mature enough to focus and move on.

Zach Evans rushed for a school-record in a single game (still waiting on the official stats, but it was between 245 - 263 yards and 4 TDs), and North rushed as a team for 597 yards in a 56-18 rout of Moore HS. Eleven different North players ran the ball...besides Evans, Austin Crawley rushed for 101 yards and a TD, and his brother Cody Crawley rushed for over 90 yards and two scores.
The two teams combined for 40 points in the first quarter, as North took a 28-12 lead; but six turnovers - four in the third period - undid Moore.
Moore fumbled the opening kickoff, which was recovered by North at the 16. Evans scored his first TD on the very next play...
Kudos for Billy Martin for being a class act at the end; with subs in - and subs' subs running the ball - North was moving easily towards a ninth TD, but Martin had backup QB Jake Evans take a knee at the Moore two on the game's final play...
total 622-- 267 for Evans

I heard #44 Ross was hurt, that will definitely help South's chances.
