What unit of measure is "WAY WAY?" Asking for a friend. :lol2:
Realmuto is the best catcher in the game. Tucker is probably 15-16th best. So an incredibly large gap.
-
Win Saturday and Tuesday night doesn’t sting as bad, and I like the matchup with Tennessee too.
Stings worse IMO. You win last night and Saturday and they're in the driver's seat for a #1 seed. Now their ceiling is a 2 seed, if they can beat UT twice.
You just can't lose games to inferior opponents on your home court. Just can't do it.

I agree I would like to see him play more. However, with Montgomery starting to play much better recently. Where is his minutes suppose to come from though? Obviously you want Washington on the floor as much as possible. With Montgomery playing better, he now gets the minutes when Reid is out or Washington needs a break.
At this moment, with UK missing on some front court guys next year. It would be better for Richard's to stick it out and stay. Most likely he and Montgomery are the starting front court next year. Which is better for him than sitting out a whole year going somewher else.
Reid Travis. Dude has been a HUGE disappointment this season.

I have to think that he doesn't get it done enough in practice to only get 3 mins last night.
Doesn't Cal always say how they need the practice Nick to show up in games, and how they see him do it all the time in practice?
-
Talent wise, I agree. Performance wise, I'm not so sure. LSU played their game and UK played theirs and they were pretty evenly matched for those 40 minutes.
Kentucky played incredibly poorly last night.
-
Baker had a wide open three and he got yanked right away when he missed. I wonder if its because he didn't follow his shot or something.
Cal picks a couple players each year that he refuses to allow to play through a mistake or a missed opportunity.
Then he has other guys, like Travis and Hagans, that he allows to make mistake after mistake without repercussion.
-
Yep. Youth hasn't learned that every point is valuable when playing against an evenly matched opponent.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. LSU is not close to Kentucky talent-wise.
-
I don't get it sometimes with Cal. He gets way too emotional and yanks guys too easily and doghouses them. Drives me nuts.
Agreed. There is no excuse to only playing Richards 3 minutes. Cal keeps blabbering that they need him to reach their full potential, but he refuses to give him any chances to contribute. It's near impossible to do anything when you get yanked for every tiny mistake. Zero chance I stick around if I'm Richards. I'd probably already have bolted honestly.

You were right.
Not sure where I would rank them, but that's the best team UK has played in conference thus far.
They remind of that team that looks completely discombobulated all season long yet has a gaudy record and gets a 3-4 seed in the tournament. Then they go out and get worked by a 13-14 seed.
-
Ashton Hagans has regressed majorly the last handful of games. Dude just isn't there right now.
Can't lose that game. Inexcusable to get out-hustled and out-efforted in your own gym.

That list looks short this year. How many teams are there usually on the list? Also, the list can keep changing, right?
It can. Probably only teams that could join are Louisville, Kansas, UNC, and maybe Michigan and Tennessee, but they are probably long shots IMO.
-
There's some really talented dudes in the AAF. Denard Robinson, Trent Richardson, Matt Asiata, Aaron Murray, etc.
Dude's that didn't really pan out in the pros, but these guys were studs at the college level.
-
3 teams just on the outskirts of top 20 in both are Louisville, North Carolina, and Kansas.
-
Add Tennessee to that list and I'd say you're safe betting that group.
They're #3 in offensive efficiency, but #40 in defensive. Was a little surprised to see how low they were on defense.
The only outlier going back all the way to 2002 was the 2014 UConn team. They were #10 defensively, but #39 offensively.
-
The National Champion will be a team that is top 20 in both offensive and defensive efficiency.
That being said the National Champion will come from the below group:
Duke
Gonzaga
Virginia
Kentucky
Michigan State
Virginia Tech
Agree? Anyone not listed have a shot?
-
The only way UK plays in Louisville is as the 1 seed.
We'll have to agree to disagree. The committee member said Saturday that Kansas can still play in KC without being the #1 seed there, so no reason to think Kentucky couldn't do the same in Louisville.
-
I lean AAF teams. Most of these guys are practice squad level players for the NFL. Which means they're very good college players, who just quite aren't NFL caliber. Clemson has a bunch of NFL dudes on their roster, but they also have a bunch of non-NFL dudes.
-
Do they have a chance? Absolutely.
Will they win? Most likely not. I'd venture a 12-14 point Blue Devil victory.
-
I anticipate Kentucky being the #1 in the Midwest come next Tuesday's update.
At the very least, the #2 in the South.
-
He's taking the Chiefs job.
-
The only 2 good teams LSU played OOC ended in losses for the Tigers. They've pretty much played no one. They have a 4 point road win at Mississippi State. That's the extent of their resume.
Kentucky 73
LSU 57

I think it is a great move and I wanted the Bengals to sign him immediately after he was cut by KC.
Just win Baby!
Bold strategy full on cheering for a woman beater....
-
Figured someone would sign him. Will be interesting to see how many games he ends up having to sit.

After asking the question above, I looked at the stats. While Realmuto appears to be a consensus choice over Tucker, I'm not sure once you throw the contract status into the analysis, particularly for a team like the Reds, that Tucker isn't a better choice right now.
Realmuto is WAY WAY better than Barnhart, regardless of how you want to slice it. He's literally better in every aspect of the game.

He's not. I was using Fangraphs analysis. It takes the past 3 seasons for each player and uses that to analyze players. Realmuto is #1. Tucker comes in at #15. I'll find the link.
