I was starting to think this kind of stuff didnt happen anymore. Especially after reading alot of the posts on BGP. It's a nice story and even better reality check.

Discipline. Campbell Co. has a lot of good to great athletes just walking the halls of Campbell Co. waiting for the next party. Others have been turned off by the win at all cost mentality of the NKYFL and their inability to get on the field as younger players. Either way, it's a culture thing and I feel really bad for the student athletes that have been working hard all off season and at the beginning of this year b/c that is a tough thing to change. Make no mistake, CC has the facilities, athletes, and resources to be good. Hopefully their youth system takes off. Until then, they need to get more kids out of the field party and into the locker room.

Man, Coach Lickert has it going on. He seems very intelligent and really shows a caring and understanding not only for the game of football but for the education and well being of the students. I dont know Coach Lickert but with what he did at Dayton and now what has transpired at Holmes it will be interesting to see where he takes Holmes. I would definitely put Lickert in a class of upcoming talent in the coaching ranks. What do you think?

I don't know. Seems a little over the top in a public forum, where unlike Mustang not many people have any knowledge of relationships that make the statement valid. Whether accurate or not I don't appreciate an adult being called out in a public forum referencing what his father would have said. Too personal for me.

Zach Deaton is a good man. However, we must all be responsible for our actions and Zach is paying the price of a three game suspension to cool his heels and re-think things.

 

I think the most painful thing that Coach Deaton could possibly have heard following that incident would have been, "Zach, your daddy wouldn't have been very proud of you tonight."

Knowing him that would have gotten his attention big time.

Pretty classless of a post right here. It was an unfortunate incident, one that I'm sure Coach Deaton regrets, but how do you even think to bring this into play on this post? Hopefully Coach deaton doesnt have to read this riddiculous act of immaturity! If you cant tell I'm a bit disappointed!
