Not surprised that Rogers was interviewed. Heard from a good source that he was contacted after the job was opened to see if he was interested in the position.

Boyle comes into this game riding a 7 game winning streak and looks to avenge a lost to DCA back in December 44-33. DCA is looking to win their 5 in a row and keep their undefeated recorded in the 45th district alive. DCA will be the #1 seed in the tournament while Boyle is trying to stay #2. Boyle is starting to play their best ball at the right time. Thoughts on the game tonight.

This 12 Region is going to be a wild one. There is about 5-6 that could win it. I'm going with Pulaski in this game.

The Rebels won the first match 82-55 and look to win 7 in a row. Boyle is looking to stay in 2nd place in the district with a win. Thoughts on the game?

Jaggers to BC as the DC? Just a thought or is there a HC job available around this area still open that he would be interested in?

I have been around the Boyle County program for 33 years and (keeping stats for the football team for 33 years) this has been going on since Coach Smith was here. I have also been doing basketball stats for 17 years and it always has been a question when this has happened. But we have always seemed to do okay after a few days.
First, let me say that I have personally talked to Coach Haddix, he said that all the coaches want their players to play all the sports that they can. I believe him when he said it. The football players are a big part of the basketball team and make a big difference in the games.
Second, yes, the Hagger kid did quit but I was told that he quit because he wanted to concentrate on getting better at the TE position in football. I hope that is true and look forward seeing him on the football field. Believe me when I say that he would help this basketball team this year and is a good basketball player and hope he comes back out next year.
Third, I don't know if in the longer run that lifting weights hurts the guys by lifting and then playing ball. I know that when football boot camp started there was a couple players saying before a basketball game that their legs was jelly. But since then, they have been playing pretty well and just think it takes their bodies a little time to get use to the workouts. Anybody that has lifted weights knows that your body will take a little time to a just to the lifting.
This year's basketball team, I think, is going to be ok and will be a factor in the region. If win this team is playing well the ball is moving and our assist are really high with little TO's and we are hitting some hots. We the assist totals are low, that seem to me when we are losing most of our game. So I don't think that in the long run that lifting the weights hurt the players. This is just my opinion and so take it for what is worth. Only thing left to say is "WHO YA WITH".

Game game moved to today at 3:30 or 20 minutes after girls game. Thoughts on the game.

Yea the Rebels are playing really good now. 54.5% last night and 53.6% shooting for the 2 games. In most of the losses that Boyle have, they have been shooting under 30% for the games.

Agreed. They have the talent to compete for a title but they need to show it first. If they can beat DCA it would be a HUGE step forward.
They showed it against Rockcastle Co. when they came back from 17 down with their D. District starts Tuesday and they had better show up to play against a good DCA team.
-
Boyle has not played very well defensively right now. The Rockcastle game they got down by 17 but put the pressure on the second half and took the lead. But missing 6 free throws in a row hurt them. But the last 2 game the D has not showed up and that should be one of the strengths with this team. I believe that they will turn it around and hope to see it Tuesday night.
-
Talent wise Boyle should be higher put the way they are play they might should be lower. I think that they will have it going in a week or so. l think it has only been 10-12 days with everyone back playing.

This should be a Jim Dandy of a game tonight but I believe that Boyle will pull it out. Do I think Corbin can win, sure but this is by far the best O that they have faced. This will be the best D that Boyle has face so something will have to give. To me the only thing that will beat Boyle this year is Boyle.

Coach Haddix said last year that he does not worry about the RPI he wants to play teams that are good to prepare his team for the playoffs. I wish we would have played a KY team to get some points for the RPI but you know, if we would have played Danville would we have gotten any points if Danville plays like they did last year?
