Impressive! Lady Pats got the ultimate "team effort" from their kids on a very big stage. Congrats on huge victory!

Sympathy expressed to Coach Jon and his family in their time of grief and sorrow from the Golden Lion Nation.

I like the Rebs in this one. Convincingly! Just don't believe E-town can stay in the game with them. Over early!

Why not us? There will be some UPSETS tonight! Why not us?

Rebs in a blowout!:isurrender:

Their stats indicate that the Panthers have a productive passing game. The Golden Lions are not a good defensive team against either the run or the pass. Garrard's most successful effort to limit point production by its opponents this season lies in their own offensive production (i.e. run the ball, move the sticks, keep the clock running, score some points, and don't allow them enough possessions to beat you). Some call it "grind". With that said, it seems to me the keys to the outcome of this good match up will likely be the effectiveness, or lack there of, of the defensive units. Can Fleming limit Garrard's running game? Can Garrard defend Fleming's passing game? IMO the answer to both questions will for the most part be "No". If it makes any sense, I look for a shootout with a collective 70+ points on the board at game's end with one or two key defensive stops or turnovers deciding the outcome. . . . I'm hoping the fact that the Lions have played the tougher schedule helps them pull this one out on the road and punches their ticket for a rematch with LexCath.

I said this 6 weeks ago. Fleming will have to play well to beat Garrard and Wandale is going to have 500 yards on Russell.

Is Lexington Catholic going with a sophomore QB? I heard they have a really good young QB.
Maybe that's why he is being recruited by all those D1 schools?

Thanks Jesse

What was the Male vs Mercer County final?

Casey is having a fantastic season and I'm glad to see it but this one is a no brainer. They are not up to the caliber of a Corbin program. Corbin will roll in this one. 42-14
Sad but true

Only Druther's restaurant left in the country. Gotta get as close to it as you can.
Awesome answer!

Coming off an outstanding senior season Nick is headed to Berea for his college career and to further his education. Congrats and best wishes!

Robins picked up loose ball and laid it in just ahead of the buzzer!

At least wait until they lose to get cocky. I can deep fry you a turkey with the best of them. You'll love the creole butter marinade.
Yummy! Bring it on! Nothing negative toward Mercer, just feel that KC is the much better team. If I am wrong, it won't be a "first".

I have actually watched them play with my own eyes. I watched them when they played their murderer's row of a schedule and I watched them in district games. It's easy to see when you watch a team over the course of a season and can see them grow. Knox Central's district has Wayne County. Other than that their district is pretty weak also. Mercer County played with Wayne County for 4 quarters and that was before they started playing well. Held Wayne County to 21 points the night they played them and they weren't full strength that night either. Wayne County defeated Knox Central also so I'd imagine at the very worst Mercer County can at least play with Knox Central. I could give an in depth explanation on why Mercer County will win this game but I'm not going to come on here and divulge information that they may not want shared with the whole state.
All that I will say is that I expect Mercer County to be playing the day after Thanksgiving.
Enjoy your turkey (or should I say crow?)!

[/i]I got Knox Central winning. Everybody is talking about Mercer winning 6 games in a row, but look who they beat in that stretch NOBODY. All the teams Mercer beat are going to basketball practice tomorrow.I agree. It's back to reality for the Titans. KCHS in a blowout!

Garrard County thinks they have a chance if they make it a physical game. Look for them to come out and try to smack Catholic in the mouth and make it as physical as possible. I just think LC has too much big play potential.
Wow! U think? Sounds like "insider info"!
-
That's exactly what they did, waived the white flag. No sense of urgency on the field. Took their time huddling and getting the play off. They were playing catch, needed to hurry it up a bit... And to take a knee in the end? C'mon man at least throw it deep and see what your passing game can do. JK
The next meeting is so much more important. We will just save that until then.:deadhorse:

Oh stop it, LexCath came out swinging and gave GC a standing 8 count 21-0 in the 1st. GC did not score till mid 2qrt and late in the 4th. Just because you run the ball 99.9% of the time, have tattoos at 16-17 does make you a tough ball club. Tough is when a running team RAMS it up the defense and the defense breaks but don't bends and denies a team from scoring, that's a tough team. Just ask #10 when he was about to score inside the 5 yard and got POP by LC #10 making him cough up the ball.
You says "Oh stop it . ." So, we must!:isurrender:

Oh stop. If Lexington Catholic would have kept their foot on the pedal on offense this wouldn't have been close. They got up 21-0 and tried to coast. Puzzling how much they changed their offensive game after that.
You must be sipping that blue kool-aid again. See you in 3 weeks.

Chuck Smith at Boyle County. Individually, with the exception of Robbins, the 2015 Rebs are not great football players. Collectively, they are a machine. Smith and his staff of veteran assistants are doing a terrific job of "coaching 'em up".
-
Mercer will win it. And none of their games will be close, IMO.
Agreed.

I can't find the name "Reese Smith". Tell me I overlooked it.
