Why NL waits until 3 minutes left in the game to play hard boggles me. If they would play the entire game with the intensity that they had in the end of the second and fourth quarters, they would be a very dangerous team.
Nice game by Billy Carson for NL, and Josh Crawford for Corbin. Corbin's ball handling is their achilles heel. Once NL turned up the heat, theyCorbin cold barely get the bll inbounds, let alone up the floor.
On another note...
Typical showing by King Ralph and his cronies in this one.

Let me guess what 2 those might be. Good Luck to whoever gets them.

Sorry but Nick will be the starting QB (barring injury) for the Rocks in 06' as they defend their 16th state title.
OK, I heard otherwise. Shows you can't always believe what you hear, especially if it's from 150 miles away.

Walls is a good player, but he's a notch below Proffitt.
I disagree with you on this one, Jim.
-
This is getting very interesting. :sssh:
-
Not this again. I have seen all three play and this is my take.
Proffit-by far the best overall point guard in the region easy. No questions asked.
Allen-The quickest PG in the region.
Stewart-The better shooter.
All of these players have different components that make them good. Proffit just has more of them.
I believe this says it best. I do wonder how Proffit & Miller's 3 pt % compare.

He could be thinking of Nick.
My bad, it was Nick I was thinking of.

The Rockets upset a top notch team in the 12th Region.
Sounds kind of funny when you are speaking of PSW, doesn't it. Boy, things have changed a lot in one year.
-
Another kid that I think will have an impact is Bobby Petrino in the secondary. He can cover and he will hit the opponent with everything he has.
Is he still on the team? I heard that he was no longer on the team.
-
Is this the guy who recently coached at Montgomery County?
-
This may be a stupid question, but I'm a 14th region specialist. I watched the game on WYMT and why does NL wear green uniforms and their cheerleaders and fans were dressed in blue/white??????? I'm corn-fused????
North Laurel's school colors are blue and green.
-
Supply and demand?
-
Obviously someone didn't know how to keep a book. What year was it Jim? Can you tell?
-
North Laurel is getting new uniforms, but I haven't seen them yet.

Should be a tough regional tourney.
What about the district tournament?
-
This one suprises me.

Outside of SL, the 13th is wide open. (#2)

Let me guess...Was the "T" on one of the Perkins brothers?

This entire page of postings has made me angry. First of all, I doubt that some of you realize where the mountains in this state are. Many of the teams discussed are not even close to any mountains. Most of eastern Kentucky, which of course garners criticism from all people ignorant of our heritage and assets, is not in the mountains at all. However we are in the hills and they are very different from mountains. Hills are friendly looking, usually somewhat rounded mounds of earth. Mountains are like the Alps, the Rockies, etc. They are very tall and forbidding looking. I think Pike County and surrounding countryside are in the mountains.
And now, back to our main concern of basketball, Morgan County has one of the better defensive teams which was ever put together in such a small school, I think.........and I am sure there are others.
Lighten up Frances.

1. Cawood
2. Paintsville
3. Clay County

Maybe in the end, but with teenage boys, confidence can get down pretty easily.

Interesting point...
All of North Laurel's 5 losses have come to teams ranked in Cantrell's Top 25.
49th Draw??
in KY Boys Basketball (High School)

:thumb: I agree. I also heard that the Jackson County's Boy's Coach wanted to seed, but his principal voted to draw.
