To say that Witten is only a "good" highschool player or that you weren't impressed by him is absolutely laughable. I have seen him play numerous games and he does not throw 94, he may have hit it once or twice but he consistently throws 86 to 92. The harder he throws the more straight his ball gets which makes it easier to make contact. His biggest problem in pitching is throwing an effective off-speed pitch. At the plate he hit over
.600 last year with 25 homers and 60 plus RBI's. This year he hasn't seen as many pitches b/c he more often than not gets intentional walked. When he does get to see pitches he has been pressing a little too much b/c of the amount of pressure he puts on himself. There are pro scouts at all his games, if he wasn't that impressive i doubt that they would be there.
As far as who is better at the highschool level I really can't tell you but as far as which one will get drafted higher or has more pro protential at this point I would have to say Revere. The main thing that puts Revere ahead of Witten is his amazing speed. They both are great hitters with great power and great arms, but Witten doesn't possess the speed that Revere has and that the pro scouts covet.
