  1. What an AMAZING game... My Pirates were fired up tonight.. Dustin was HOT.. I think JC underestimated Belfry. I think that JC was way OVERRATED.. Everyone was saying they were gonna beat us by 5 TDs. Whatever. NOONE will beat us by 5 TDS. Everyone talked about how GREAT JC was... I wasn't really impressed tonight... They got lucky in the 4th and got a couple passes in.. Most of JC's completions in the 1st half was to us... LOL It should have been 28-0.... Bring on the playoffs...

BTW, Nice hair tonight. Is the red a Belfry touch?

  2. I said it in the Dixie Chicks thread and I'll say it again here: The Constitution protects you from government restriction, not others opinions. He had a right to say what he said, but everyone who speaks out against him has that right too. Now, one could make the case that society makes too big of a deal out of these comments, but there is no law against it.

    Nuff said

  3. How naive can one be! Unless you are self-employed, try going public with the fact that you hate blacks, you think sex with kids is OK, you think women are less intelligent than men, etc and see how quickly your company chooses to deny your so-called American rights. Those rights do not exist in the way that you seem to think they do. You may want to re-read the Constitution that you cite.

I live, breath, and eat the constitution, every article and subparagraph. I also believe it means what it says.

I would be "naive" to believe that everyone is fair minded enough to show consideration for the rights of others. In fact, all most care about is their own rights, so excuse me when I still think it's okay to want to live by the constitution.

And PLEASE show me where these rights I speak of don't exist in the constitution.

  4. Hardaway has been banned from all-star events this weekend by NBA big wig Stern. That's the biggest problem I have with the situation.

I might not agree with Hardaway's comments or the way he voiced them, HOWEVER I do believe he has the right to say them. Freedom of speech is guaranteed by the constitution. To allow any of his rights to denied because he exercised one of them is a disgrace.

If you want vilify, chastise, or snub Mr. Hardaway for his tirade, go ahead and exercise your right to do so. But never deny any American his rights. How easy would it be to turn the situation around against something you say?
