    All eight survived again.

Sayre bucked most people's expectation against Paris. CovCath and Hart County were tested, but passed. They'll both have their hands full in the quarters.

Sayre will again be an underdog next week, and we're guaranteed to lose at least one unbeaten with Corbin and Boyle County meeting in one of the most hyped up quarterfinals ever.

    1A

    Sayre vs. Raceland

    2A

    Owensboro Catholic vs. Green County

    3A

    Hart County vs. Union County

    4A

    Boyle County vs. Corbin

    Corbin vs. Boyle County

    Covington Catholic vs. Johnson Central

    Franklin County vs. Bardstown

    Paducah Tilghman vs. Spencer County

Just looking at Boyle's path to a 4th. consecutive title it would be Corbin, Franklin County, and Covington Catholic or Paducah Tilghman.  All 12-0 currently.

If they are not the #1 team in the 4A RPI that tells you all you need to know about the KHSAA's RPI sysyem.

I agree and it’s needs some tweaking.  I think the concept is better than if it’s just your districts turn to host a home game like in the old  past.  I will say last year it was in our favor with Lexington Catholic and really I like playing Corbin at home in week 3 than at UK.   Let’s get the rematch a little earlier at Ballard Robinson Field!

I’d complain about Boyle County/Corbin being forced to the region final round, but I guess in the old system that is what would have happened anyway.  Still, it seems like that is exactly what this system was supposed to avoid happening.

That's a loss for the KHSAA in ticket sales.  IMO Corbin is a top 2 team in 4A and we get to play them at our home.  I feel it worked out good for us.

  4. Looks like Boyle moved up to #3 past Paducah Tilghman.  That should be Corbin at Boyle on 11/17 for a 3rd. round meeting with the winner at Franklin County on black Friday.
