  1. I'm only smack talking with him cause I love him:ylsuper: :ylsuper: :ylsuper: Are you coming to the game.

    :D

About tonight....... We need to get together with our friends from Southwestern tonight. After all we are one great big Bluegrass Preps Family. I'll be there around 4:30 setting up a tent for something going on tonight.

  2. how about Boyle stepping up and playing Lincoln next year instead of dropping out of the contract like they did in the early 90's...... :fight:

Oh yeah, that is why we were in that district and made them have a hay day while our program was down.

Wow! Somebody got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Are you just a tad jealous of our 5 Straight State Championships? Now that everydody wants a piece of Boyle, take a ticket and stand in line.

  3. I can't think of a game as important as the game tonight for the Rebels in some time. Goodluck Rebs!

Me...Super doing the Rebel Rumble? I DON'T THINK SO ! and for being mean to me, I just guess I will...I will....I will....I don't know what I will, but I will do something Missy!:fire::madman: :scared:

  4. People can say what they want but I can't ever remember a more messed up season in my life. They take a QB out that took us to a 11-2 season last year and replaced him with an, IMO, untried QB.

Then we can't play a home game because we couldn't get the field ready in time for the season and this makes the kids have to travel for all of their first 5 games.

When a team beats this team they aren't beating a championship team - those teams were a few years ago.

    I agree MissK! :thumb:

I learned a new dance just for you K for homecoming. It's called "The Tater Digging Dance" Guarentee to make you smile. :ylsuper: Now you go ahead and buy those dancing shoes, cause I have been watching "Dancing with the Stars". This will be me and you come homecoming!

  5. let's ask Danville and Lafayette if we are that bad. I just betcha they won't say that.:thumb:

I never said we where bad, just that we havn't played well. If Boyle had not of gave Danville 14 and Layfatte 17 1st. quarter points from blocked punts, and turnovers what would the outcome have been?

If you asked the Boyle players if they have played well so far, What would their answer be?

It's not the first, nor will it be the last. We just need to agree on disagreeing. :thumb:

Now, do I need to hide from you Friday night? :scared: Homecoming is pretty soon, do I need to find another date to the dance now? :D

  6. Let's not forget about a group of kids who have really played hard and have played against some really good teams this year. Do ya think that might be one of the reasons we've only won one game so far:confused:

Yes.....Thats only one of the many reasons we are 1-4 right now. I'm not down on the team Miss K. I think they can make some noise in the playoffs, but just becasue they have played some good teams, is not the only reason. Boyle is 1-4 because they just have not played well. Defence (Big Plays), Turnovers, Penalties, Special Team play, Confidence, and Young Players are also reasons.

Now, I do feel that come the end of the season the Boyle coaches will have the kinks worked out. It all comes down to the Southwestern game friday night. A win will just about guarentee home field through out. A loss means you go on the road. A win Friday night, and with the younger players expericence they gained, Boyle will be a team to be reckened with come playoff time.

  7. I'm just not as confident as other posters in here. Boyle would be very lucky to come away with a win Friday night. I see it as 50/50 (could go either way). No doubt about it Southwestern really wants a win against Boyle, and this could very well be that season to get that monkey off their backs. Danville, Layfatte, and Mercer has lossed that Monkey this year. The one thing we have going for us Fiday night is Homefield.

  8. I asked the same question, why did Boyle wear their home uniforms? But, for whatever reason the Mercer players noticed it immediately when they walked on the field and were quite angered at it being our home field and took it as an insult - who's house? our house! :argue:

It must not take to much to anger the Mercer players then. Black or White whats the difference? It didn't madder what color Boyle had on, the Mercer players would have still been angered at Boyle.

  9. Why did Boyle wear their home uni? Was it a statement? Does anyone know or did you all even notice? I noticed and assumed there was an agreement worked out between school, but have read different.

I'd say becase they wanted to, It's not a big deal. With no home games yet this season they more than likely wanted to show off their new uni's.

I could see this as being more low class than middle/non-football playing high school kids bragging about a (finally) better than average football team.

    What were the coaches thinking?

  10. Well after having some time to think this weekend, Congrats go out to Mercer on a big win this past friday night. #2 Jackson is the real deal for sure. I look for Mercer to go far in the playoffs. One thing for sure, this is the year of the Titians. We will pick ourselfs back up and dust ourselfs off and prepare for the real season now. 1-4 or 4-1 it doesn't madder, a loss now is what will hurt the most for this season. What ever happens...happens in the future. I have plenty of good memories to last me the rest of my life. It's amazing what 5 straight State Championships will do. With 9 Sophomores and a Freshman getting a large amount of playing time, I don't think Boyle will be down for long. ;)

  11. If Phil saw a black jersey skidding across the grass, he wasn't at Admiral Stadium friday night. Unless I got a bad case of color blindness there was no black jerseys friday night. I was close to the action friday night, no team won the line of scrimmage that I saw. I'd say it was pretty even, but than again I don't think I was the same game where black jerseys were skidding across the grass that Phil saw.

  12. As a past player, and a fan I never thought that I would be please after a loss. Right now I feel as if Boyle won, maybe not on the scoreboard, but the improvment from last week was way more than I expected. I think the players confidence has to be up (lets face it, it couldn't get any lower after the Henry Clay game) After all, the season that really counts starts at home with Southwestern. I can truely say that I feel 10 times better now, than I did last week. :ylsuper:

  13. Todays newspaper artical on the game this weekend.
