  1. Looks like you guys will be seeing this same Russell team in a couple of weeks. Hopefully, "we" will see you again in 3 weeks.

I don't think Russell County will make the playoffs. The #4 spot looks to be between Pulaski and Taylor County, and Pulaski beat Taylor.

    After 4 weeks

    #1 Southwestern 4-0

    #2 Boyle 3-1

    #3 Marion 2-2 (Marion beat Pulaski 32-6)

    #4 Pulaski 2-2

    #5 Taylor 1-3

    #6 Russell County 0-4

If Taylor beats Marion than there will be a 3 way tie at 2-3 between Marion, Pulaski, & Taylor and it comes to the tie breaker. I would think that Russell is already elimated from the playoffs even if they win Friday night.

  2. I'm still picking Boyle County is District 4 until I see the guys from Pulaski Southwestern pick up a meaningful NOVEMBER win.

I do not believe that anything that has happened in the past has no meaning on the present. Southwestern is a good football team, and beat us up at our place this year. So, going into the playoffs the Warriors should be the favorite to win the district this year. Sometimes the favorite wins, and sometimes they don't. Either way I think Southwestern will see a different Boyle team the next time around. (assuming they both win the first playoff game)

  3. How often do you hear of the parents meeting with the Super???

I think the key question is. How many parents was at this meeting? I talked to a couple of parents tonight, and their reply was " I didn't know of such a meeting". Also, tonight the team and parents meet for a pregame meal. I was told that some parents where asking other parents what was going on, that they were suprised to hear of such a meeting with the Super in the newspaper. This has to be only a few parents, and not like the teams entire set of parents attending. I'm not to concerned about this, as I am the moral of the team right now.

  4. Rome has fallen.......

The dynasty known as Boyle Co the past 8 years is over.

There's noway the Boyle teams of today and future can compete with the teams from 1999-2006. What those teams did was unbeliveable. Your right those days as we now know them are over. There was only one way to go and thats down, but down doesn't mean your out. Boyle may not be a contender this season, but they have the talent to be a big contender the next couple of years. This mess will get straighten out, it may be to late for this season, or maybe not. Only time will tell, but what ever happens I'll be at the games come rain or shine cheering the Rebels on.

  5. Why would some in the state wish that? You have lost me

If your winning people just always root for the underdog. That's true in any sport. The lord knows we have had our share of winning. So, my belief is that people across the state are not feeling any sorrow for Boyle right now, and loving every second of whats going on. I'm not saying all, but most people. If everybody was true to their feelings, a poll would prove it. That's just the way sports are.

It's like Kentucky fans, I know I was loving every second of how bad of season Tennesse was having last season. Nascar Fans love Jeff Gordon not making the chase last season, or Stewart not making it this season, People just love to see their arch rival struggle.

  6. Here is what I know of this, some Sr. parents had no clue of this meeting untill reading it in the newspaper today. This tells me that it's a few parents, not every parent on the team is involved in this. This is really been blowned up worse than it really is. This has nothing to do with underclassman playing and the upperclassman setting the bench. My guess, and I believe it to be true is some parents are upset at the coach for giving up on the starters in such an important game period. This was not a lynch mob, even though some in the state might want or wish that, but it wasn't.

  7. Lexcath came out real strong in this game, I was real impressed with there defense and there offense moved up and down the field. And look out for this freshman for boyle, im not sure what his varsity # is but in the Jv game it was 44, he is going to be a special player in the futer.

Same Varsity number......I think your talking a Dre Cox

  8. and the sophmores have done nothing for the program, except help to an 1-5 record.

This is just a bad coice of words. The Sophomore class has done more than what was expected in this case. You win as a team, and you lose as a team. It's statements like this that casuse more damage to a team, than what has ever happened on the field. The last thing we need is a civil war between ourselfs.

  9. I thought the world of Ken Cutrer when he was in charge of the Freshman program in the late 70's and early 80's. He was a great builder and wonderful play caller.

Best play he ever called was "Center Sneak" For some reason that plays holds a special memory in my life. For those who don't know what this play is. Say it's 3rd or 4th down with inches to go. The center pretends to hike the ball and than just falls forwad for a first down or touchdown, while the rest of the team yells fumble!! and piles on. After the Refs removes the pile the center (Me) has the yardage needed for a firstdown or touchdown. I don't think this play was ever legal, but it sure was fun.

:bunny: Boy this brings back memories Hatz! :bunny: :bunny: :D

  10. First.... Congrads to Southwestern on a Big Big win last night. You all where the better team last night.

Now, after thinking about what happened 24 hours ago and what I would say about the game. I'm "Speechless". I still havn't picked my Jaw back up from the ground yet. So, in fear of saying something I might regret in the future I will not say anything at all, and put last nights game out of my memory.
