I want to express my full support for Nick for calling out the cowardly actions that led to this heartbreaking situation. If this had been aimed at Nick he might have brushed it off, but when it targets family, especially a man who lives selflessly and walks in faith, it hits differently. Coach Ruthsatz gave over a decade of service to Covington Catholic, becoming the school’s winningest coach by leading with integrity, discipline, and fairness. He played those who earned their spots not those backed by money or influence. Yet a local dentist and his son have chosen to revive a 7-year-old grudge, using false accusations to smear Scott’s name and drive him out. That this is tolerated at a Catholic institution, where truth and humility should prevail, is disturbing. The message this sends? If you don’t give the powerful what they want, they’ll try to destroy you. Why would any support these individuals? Why would anyone not support a son fighting for his father’s dignity? Those that abuse their power shouldn't get the last word.

Let’s address the underlying implications here. According to The Oracle, Coach Ruthsatz should have played kids from the feeder school instead of transfer students with more talent. So, in a sense, you’re calling Cov Cath racist without directly calling them racist? Are we really saying that prioritizing talent and hard work over entitlement is a problem? Or that welcoming transfer students—players seeking opportunities to grow, compete, and secure scholarships—somehow reflects poorly on the program? The reality is simple: Coach Ruthsatz ran his team like a well-oiled machine. He assigned roles based on ability, effort, and what best served the team—not on how much influence someone’s family held or how loudly they complained. His goal wasn’t just to win games, it was to instill life values in the young men he coached. He held himself to the same high standards he expected from his players. That’s called leadership. If you want participation trophies or “fairness” based on personal connections, the local rec league might be a better fit. But if you’re looking for someone to prepare young men for the challenges of real life—on and off the field—then be grateful for coaches like Scott Ruthsatz. Finally, the numbers don’t lie. As Justchillen pointed out above, Scott's record speaks for itself. Winning percentages aren’t based on opinions, and they show Scott was not just deserving but the Best. If "some people" that you're referring to, choose to criticize from anonymous accounts or behind veiled intentions, their opinions lack credibility. The truth will always outshine the noise.

This decision not only undermines Scott's legacy but also contradicts the values that should be upheld at a Catholic institution—faith, fairness, and integrity. Transparency is a cornerstone of these principles. If there’s nothing to hide, why hasn’t an explanation been provided? This isn’t just about Scott—it’s about standing up for truth and justice.
