I agree as it is Cov Cath's world right now but I think Cooper would have had a roster that could have scraped up more than 34 points.

As always, another spectacular job by you @Knight Owl. If Beechwood can shoot the lights out consistently they are going to be a tough out for any team not named Cov Cath in NKY and should make a strong push for that Tier 2. A scrappy win vs Brossart was a good win for them to get on a rough night but that can't turn into a theme. I've picked up on Lloyd has been short handed in about half of their games so far. I don't know whether due to injuries or sickness but I think a mixture of both. They should be able to handle their only game this week vs Cooper accordingly but they are going to need to get right for the end of December/beginning of January. If Ryle can keep putting full games together like they did against Holy Cross and the way they played the 2nd half vs Lloyd, they are going to be a nightmare come tournament(s) time. Is there any prognosis on Louden? Anyone with any input there? Sully sure set Holthaus up for a tough start to the season, if Sully was the one who made this schedule. I heard questions about who did the schedule but I find it hard to believe Borchers could have been that ludacris to have Sully do the schedule if he was confident Sully would no longer be the head man. If Sully thought he was going to be in charge still I think he was confident Cooper's roster would look different than what is does now. Even with Sully this would have been a tough early slate for the Jaguars, same as last year in that aspect. Newport's game vs Ryle is a big one to show where they stand at this point in the season. Dixie...let's keep up the good work.

Just for a little substance here. Lloyd had 2 starters and a couple bench players out. Blaackar 17, could have had 30 if they wanted to press the issue. Landrum with 21 for Boone.

The margin of victory in this one really surprises me. Disparity all over NKY right now really trying to figure out whose who.

Boone County opens the doors and turns on the lights above the hardwood on a wintery Saturday afternoon for Lloyd to travel one exit down for a game of hoops. Boone ( 3-1 ) comes into this one after being throttled by Scott as the Rebels were looking for their first 4-0 start to a season in about 10 years. Boone did just get their 2nd 3-0 start over the last 10 years, so let's say the Rebels are trending upwards. Lloyd ( 2-2 ) comes into this one after losing 2 in a row to 2 quality teams. In that 2 game span, Lloyd has seen they can compete with a top 25 team in KY in Ashland and also a team considered by most as a top 5 9th Region team in Ryle. Sure, both losses stung Lloyd but they know who they can be if they keep grinding. From what is updated on Riherds Blaackar comes in averaging an impressive 23.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game leading his team in both categories. Bryson Souder comes in leading the Rebels in scoring with 12.5 points per game. Joel Montanya Brown comes in leading the Rebels in rebounds with 6.5 per game. With only 2.5 miles and about 6/7 minutes separating these schools this matchup should be a little personal to some. Riherds shows this game time has been changed from a 4:30 start to 1:30. I imagine to get everyone in and back home before the roads become too much of a mess. Great job by the coaches working to get this game in. The players got to be glad this game didn't get scrapped altogether. Good luck to both teams, hope all players are healthy and safe travels to everyone transporting around Boone and Kenton counties today.

Unfortunately, I think it's going to be rough. I seen them a few times in the summer and....yeah being unable to stop their opponent from scoring looks to be a trend.

It's a little too early for me to say " I told you so " but I will enjoy watching this Beechwood team succeed so eventually I can say " I told you so ". I did say they would beat Scott by atleast 30 and it wasn't because Scott was terrible.

I noticed Lloyd was short handed in this game. It is flu season and everyone's not Jordan. No excuses though. I don't know that it would have been enough to swing a W for the Juggs but it definitely would have made a difference. 43 of 45 points accounted for by Lloyd's 4. So I imagine one more player scored 2. 49 of 59 points accounted for by Ryle's 4.

Two teams that are trying to show they belong in the upper tier of the 9th Region. Ryle ( 0-2 ) is on the second night of a back to back after the nail biting, tough loss to 9th Region contender Holy Cross. This isn't the NBA, no load management. Ryle's kids are looking to get their first tally in the win column. Lloyd ( 2-1 ) coming off their own back to back on Friday and Saturday where they lost the last one to a very solid Ashland team in a game Lloyd feels like they had all the ability to win. Both teams should have got their football players back around the same time and with a week under their belts should be getting into form. Good gauging stick for both teams. Should be a good one in Union at 7:30.

I think it's a strong showing by Conner also to be able to take a good Campbell County team to the wire without their best player.

I still think its a few weeks before he is on the court one way or another. And when he is getting prime minutes I will laugh at his double doubles like they're not impactful. Someone's parents feelings will be hurt that their son's minutes aren't what they think they should be but what's new.
