Johnson Central heads on the road this Friday night to take on Madison Central at 7:30 PM in what should be a much bigger test than last nights opener. The Golden Eagles got off to a strong start with a 30-6 win over Letcher County Central, but Madison Central will present a completely different challenge. Madison Central is also coming in with some momentum. The Indians opened their season with a dominant 56-6 win over Conner, so Johnson Central won't be walking into an easy matchup. Madison Central was able to put up 56 points in its opener, while Johnson Central's defense looked strong against Letcher, making that side of the ball particularly interesting to watch. This is also a rematch of last year's thriller, when Johnson Central edged Madison Central 15-14. So while it's still early in the season, there's already some recent history between these two programs. JC's offense looked very strong last night I would compare it to a strong JC offense not like the offense we have seen these past few years JC missing a huge part of the offense Braxton Perry which is rumored to be back somewhere around week 4 or 5 Collin Cantrell is the player to watch with 3 rushing TD's against Letcher looked very good and will not go down when tackled. Game was 7-6 JC at half with Letcher recieving and JC did what JC does and controls the rest of the game shutting down Letcher with 3 interceptions to win the season opener. JC has 5 seniors on the roster and is missing their key running back.
