I am looking for the complete post season results from the 14th Region Baseball Tournament from 1976-1985 when it had that weird alignment for the Harlan County Schools and two years the Bell County schools were in that Harlan County district in 1984 & 1985. I have completed the 13th Region Post Season History and will make it shareable at a later date. I just wanted to have accurate records and results from the following schools who later were 13th region schools in baseball but were always 13th Region Schools in Basketball. Cumberland- Missing the 1977 Region Tourney Opponent & Results, and how far they made it in region, I know they didn't win it this year. Champion was Powell Co, and all I know is Fleming Neon beat Lynch in first round 22-11 Middlesboro- 1984 1st Round Opponent & Score & Championship score over Powell Co (Mboro was in 13th until 1983 moved to 14th in 84 & 85 and back to 13th in 1986) Bell Co- 1985 1st Round Opponent was Powell Co but who won and score if Bell won they first game, they lost to MC Napier in the second round but by what score.

I done some digging and not real sure why Bracken County is acting like they are owed anything. Bracken last won a district championship in 1999 and they have lost in the first round of region every year except a first round victory in 2017. From 1998-2019 they have 1 district championship and 1 region win. I have the KY Basketball Encyclopedia but I am not going back any further to seek out their history. In 14 Years in current alignment from 2006 they have only made 6 trips and all as runner ups and two of them to Augusta and not Mason. One first round loss was to St Patrick in 2009 as well. Trips to Region all as runner up 2010, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019 (First round win in 2017 at Region) Before the realignment, it was 2004, 1999, 1998 and 99 District champs in the 38th and first round loss at region. Pecking order in the history of this District is 1. Mason 2. Augusta 3. Bracken 4. St Patrick I do agree every district should seed but Bracken acting like they are owed to go to and get beat first round is ridiculous especially if you seeded they would be in the 2-3 with a team they split with, its not like they are 50 better than the other two teams. If this were two powers like a Scott County, Cov Cath, or a Trinity, etc drawing in the first round I could see the argument. Anyways good luck to all 39th teams!

Thanks @theguru Here’s an update UPDATE I have all the scores and results from 1977, 1979, 1981, and 1984 now. Still need 1986, 1987, 1988, 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995, and 1997. Any help is appreciated.

I have been conducting research for about a year on the history of the 13th Region Baseball Tournament History, I have compiled a lot of information but still, need some more for this to be complete. In 1976 KHSAA went to 16 baseball regions. Any and all help would be appreciated. From 1976-1985 it was a weird alignment with a lot of now 12th region schools in it and traditional 13th region schools namely the Harlan Co schools in the 14th until 1986 where it was set up like the traditional basketball format from like 1937-2005 and Present. The following years are complete, I have every team, every district champion and runner up, every score and winner for the following years; 1976, 1978, 1980, 1982, 1983, 1985, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1996, 1998- Present 2019. STILL NEED INFO FOR THE FOLLOWING.....PLEASE HELP!!!! 1977- Missing two first round scores, McCreary County over Jackson County and Barbourville over Somerset. 1979- Missing three first round scores, McCreary Central vs. Pulaski County, Middlesboro vs. Wayne County, and Clay County vs. someone out of the Somerset/Pulaski Co distirct ( I believe Somerset was district champion but not 100% sure) Missing semi final scores Laurel County over McCreary Central/Pulaski County, Middlesboro/Wayne County vs. Clay County/TBA?
