  1. #2 Corbin Redounds (2-0) in Class 4A vs Pulaski County (1-2) this Friday at Pulaski. Corbin comes off a stellar defensive performance against Lexington Catholic and held the Knights to 10 points total. 1 touchdown came off of a pick 6 as Corbin was in the RedZone. Corbins Kade Elam had 270 yards passing and a host of running backs had 223 rushing yards combined for a 30-10 convincing win. Corbin's defense if you haven't seen it, has two 4 star recruits that everyone refers to as the Smith Twins. I got to lay eyes on them in person and all I can say it wow..... Pulaski County is in rebuild mode and this one will be another tuff test for the young Pulaski County team.. Can Corbins defense hold Pulaski or will Pulaski find a way to over come the Hounds defense..You decide...

How big is the gap between #3 and #4 and the rest?  Are the top 3 much the best, or am I over-stating it some?

Feels that way to me, that 1-3 are heads-and-shoulders above the rest of the field.

Because of injuries to Johnson Central, Franklin County will be that team who should be in the 4th spot IMO. Boyle is elite and fast. Corbin has talent and Covington Catholic is right there with both the top 2. I think when Franklin County gets there QB back, they will be a legit contender. Boyle is the top dog and Corbin and Covington Catholic both have there own strengths. The only change to this poll would be to put Franklin County in the 4 spot. They will get there reguardless, they always come to play in November.

  3. Friday Night in Lexington will showcase two top programs in a matchup worth watching. #2 Corbin Redhounds in Class 4A will square off with #2 Lexington Catholic in Class 3A. This matchup should be a good one. Lexington Catholic (1-1) coming off of a blow out win over Madison Central by a score of 47-0 improves to 1-1 on the season after a dog fight loss to Highlands by a score of 34-27. Corbin (1-0) enters the contest with no game the previous week. They opened the season with a blowout win of there own by a score of 47-12 over Hughes of Cincinnati, OH. Can Corbin come to Lexington and steal the show or Lexington Catholic pull out the win?
