Looks like you have some good intel. Dixie or Sully not interested or both?
Wasn't a fit for Sully.

Sounds like this isn't going to be Sully....so where does Dixie go with this critically important hire?

Is this an "Onion" headline?

I'm mostly familiar with Sam's work at Pendleton County the last few years, which were...well...not great. PCHS separated from him, sadly, as we all know. For those that know Sam well, can you share all of the reasons for optimism besides he went there and was an assistant there when they were good 15 years ago?
I hope like heck it works out, NKY Boys Hoops is better when Holmes is good!!

There were a number of kids, including Claire Johnson, who declined to play due to a variety of reasons.
I love that CJ (who should have been Miss Basketball) puts on a show vs Ohio, gets MVP, and then does a mic drop and heads off to college. Well done, Claire!!!!!

Dixie would be wise to make the Sully hire happen! He is amazing, a true culture-builder, and kids love playing for him. I love his saying, "accountability isn't a punishment".
I hope Coach Browning does great things at Conner, truly, but he'd have been my 3rd choice of the people that applied for the job if I was hiring.

Good luck Coach, you're filling the biggest of shoes. Not just as a coach, but as a person, Pete is one of a kind!

This is such a shame. Coach Orem has a lot of flair and style, and for a myriad of reasons is an easy target for "haters", but she is a WINNER, her kids love her, and this loss is not great for HS Girls Basketball. I hope she lands another job, heck, maybe Thomas More takes a look at her, because she makes the sport better. You don't always have to love her sideline passion, but you have to respect all that she has accomplished.

Interesting that CJ and the 4 NKY girls who just played against Ohio are all off of this roster. I wonder if they self ejected?

Where is the feeling by people who know her where Zakiyah Johnson is leaning towards in her recruitment. The junior is gonna be a nice addition to some lucky team’s roster.
The word around the floor at the Sweet 16 is she is leaning heavily towards UConn...but I don't know that any of them have a real inside source beyond a bunch of third-hand information.

Are they high level Division I?
Johnson's list of finalists include UConn, South Carolina, Notre Dame, Tennessee, LSU, and Ohio State.

Cooper has had an amazing three year run, so much to be proud of.

SHA by 10-15, and Claire Johnson for Miss Basketball. 😁 🏀

When I said on 2/13 McCracken would come out of the top half, this is what I had in mind. Good for them!!
Let's hope my ongoing diatribe about Claire Johnson being Miss Basketball also comes to fruition.

Can Cooper win this game? Or is SHA too much for everyone?
Can they? Sure. I'd say they'd beat them 1 time out of 10. Hope today is that one.

Butler trying to get back into this one outscoring McCracken 13-7 and have cut it to 28-18 just passed halfway through the 2nd quarter. Also for McCracken Johnson has picked up her 3rd foul.
Oooh, that isn't great for McC!

it looks like McCracken and "Miss Basketball" candidate Claire Johnson came to play this morning. They led Butler 21-5 end of the first quarter. Johnson has 18 first quarter points on 7-10 from the floor and 3-3 from 3.
Louder for those in the back.
CJ is her.

I posted on February 13th in the Sweet 16 draw thread that McCracken County would come out of the top, looking good early.
By the way, vote for Claire Johnson for Miss Basketball. 😁

Cooper was lead in scoring by Atylia Green with 21 points.
Cooper doesn't have anyone by that name, could she be from Henderson County?

Will she be there?
Shes bounced around a bit.
I'm assuming she is until I see otherwise.

I had a head coach in Louisville refer to Bethlehem as "Leah and a bunch of soccer players." Made me chuckle.
Right or wrong, not nearly enough for a good Small College Team.
Bethlehem rallied post Christmas once Leah came back to make a great run to the State Elite Eight. Will be a factor again next year in Leah's Senior Year.

Ugly game for Franklin only scored 19 points from the field had 17 FT’s.
They were 9-43 and 1-13 from 3.I haven't seen a box, what did Shropshire's line look like?

Meaning I don't believe he applied because it wasn't going to be a fit for him.
The Conner deal is still wild, to me, honestly. Absolutely wild.
