From what I heard after her 7th grade year she wasn't even suppose to be going to Newport. Her family didn't want her there but she wanted to stay and play for the Wildcats. After last season they lost 6 seniors, so please explain to me what competitive team she would have had this upcoming season? With maybe only one or two other girls even getting varsity minutes last season. As a freshmen she avg 17.5 points per game with 7.1 rebounds and 3.4 steals per game and you say she is unproven. I have been watching this young lady for some years now and she is one of the best players in the state of Kentucky from what I have seen.

Well see what happens next AAU season. As far as school ball she is going to dominate the 10th Region no question. I believe she will lead the 10th Region in Pts and Reb. Like I mentioned before she doesn't get the recognition she deserves.

First, Marie Keifer is also a sophomore so she is not the only sophomore on the list. From what I heard Mya received five D1 offer this summer. With her AAU team winning all kinds of tournaments: Run 4 Roses, Battle of the Boro two of the top exposure events. She also won MVP at the Battle of the Bridges Rising Star game. So for her to be ranked 8th as a top player in the 10th region, she not getting the recognition she deserves. I haven't seen all the teams play in the 10th region, but for someone to receive five D1 offers as a freshmen is impressive. Not to take away from any of these young ladies but I don't know if anyone on this list has done that.

I think Mya Meredith is the best player in the 10th Region now that she goes to Scott she doesn't get the recognition she deserve and its sad.
