Light rain so far...NWS hourly projections only have about half an inch of rain between now and the end of the game. The field drains well and shouldn't be in too bad of shape.
Good to hear!!!! I will be stocking up on rain gear before leaving!!!!!

Any recommendations for a good local restaurant in Somerset to eat at before the game. I like to try local restaurants when traveling away from home. Hopefully the rain doesn't affect the game as much as most expect. I am hoping for a good game with no injuries.

Who all will be traveling to this one because I'd like some updates?
I will be down there and will be updating!!!!

First half running clock is never a good thing but should be the case in this one. Cooper is very young and will take some lumps but hopefully by the end of the year they can learn from their early season struggles.

I think Beechwood will come out a little more crisp this week and will control the run game better on defense.

Thanks for correcting me. I thought Shepard ran a touchdown but was wrong

Beechwood JV had their way with Lloyd this morning. Chris Layton threw 2 touchdowns to Isaiah Hudson. Mitchell Corts, Blake Shepard, and Noah Howard all added a touchdown rush. All in all a good game for the Tigers. Hopefully they are ready for next week as Highlands comes to Ft. Mitchell to battle the JV Tigers.

Not a super impressive game for Beechwood but a good start to the season. Josh and Adam Derry are both beasts!!!!!! I am super excited to travel to Somerset next week and watch the improvements that Coach Rash has for these boys. Fight 'em Tigers!!!! Keep on truckin!!!!!!

Good win Somerset!!!! Very much looking forward to our trip down next week!!!!!!

Nice win by the Panthers!!!! I was super impressed with them when I watched them beat Carroll County. Glad to see them keep the momentum and keep it rolling!!!!

35-14 Final

Beechwood drove the ball down after the fake punt conversion and Josh Derry finished it off with a 9 yard run!!!! 35-14 Tigers
-
3 and out by Beechwood and they are about to punt to Lloyd. Beechwood faked the punt at their own 31 and Castleman ran it for the first down.
-
Another touchdown run by Fann on the first play of the 4th quarter. 2 point conversion failed making the score 28-14 Tigers. Tigers looking tired in this half and not finishing tackles.
-
Lloyd has the ball at the Beechwood 4 yard line and the 3rd quarter has now ended. Tigers up 28-8 headed to the 4th quarter.
-
Beechwood went 3 and out after a failed onside kick and then another shank on a punt and Lloyd is now moving the ball again.
-
After a very close conversion on 4th and 1. Fann sprints through the Tigers D for a 16 yard touchdown and then converted a 2 point conversion on a run making the score 28-8 Tigers.
-
After a few first downs #11 for Lloyd picked off a tipped pass and returned it to Beechwoods 27 yard line.
-
After the long run Lloyd's offense stalled and Beechwood will take over at their own 24 yard line!
-
First play Fann broke 6-7 tackles and ran 40+ yards. Very tough QB to bring down!
-
Beechwood to kick off to open the 3rd quarter. Lloyd returned to their own 25 yard line.
-
Lloyd returned the kick off to Beechwood's 48 yard line and heaved it to the end zone where it was intercepted by Mescher to end the half... Slow start for the Tigers but they got rolling the 2nd quarter.

What an ugly game!!!!! Neither offense could get anything going with the rain and field conditions. At one point I thought we might be there all night! Somerset is a nice squad with good size. Neither team could get a push on the offensive line making it tough to run all night. Turning point of the game was when Beechwood went to the wildcat with Castleman. He ran hard and we finally started getting some sort of push and he was able to get big chunks of yards. The officiating was very lack luster. One official that was on our sideline the second half looked like he had never officiated a football game. At one point an official pushed one of our players which didn't sit well with me. All that aside a win is a win and I enjoyed my trip to Somerset. @Jumper_Dad thanks for the restaurant recommendation it was delicious. The twice baked spaghetti was awesome and the half pound burger was perfectly cooked!!!!!!!
