  1. Looks like she got 14 and 19 last night. Should most certainly exceed 7 and 5 tonight at Portland Christian.
  2. Relegation would even classes out and create the most competitive environment. If a school is dominating a lower class then it moves up regardless of size. If a school struggles in a higher class then it moves down without regard to size.
  3. Villa Madonna's Maddie Malone is only 37 votes behind the leader. Give Miss Malone your vote and support our Kentucky player.
  4. Luke Lockard of Calvary Christian is up for Cincinnati Enquirer Athlete of the Week. Use the link below to vote for Northern Kentucky's Luke Lockard. Vote for Athlete of the Week
  5. Both Lydia Kramer of Campbell County and Maddie Malone of Villa Madonna are up for Cincinnati Enquirer Athlete of the Week. Use the link below to vote for the Northern Kentucky players. Vote for Athlete of the Week
  6. How do you know Calvary didn't try to schedule harder? Maybe schools would not schedule them. Risk/Reward. A lot of risk without a lot of reward.
  7. So suppose you were allowed to build a basketball team from anyone you could find in Independence KY and I was allowed to build a basketball team from anyone I could find in Cleveland OH. And we would play each other. I would expect to hear you say that I have an advantage because there are so many more people in Cleveland than Independence. I would expect to hear you say that I have an advantage because Cleveland has a pro franchise that attracts some of the best players to Cleveland. I would like the arrangement because my team was good. And I may get annoyed by those suggesting a change to the arrangement. But no matter how annoyed I got, I don’t think you would hear me say that the reason why your Independence team is not anywhere near as good as my Cleveland team is because you don’t practice hard enough.
  8. The real problem that makes this argument so annoying is that every time it comes up everyone just argues a position that benefits their interest. The fans of small schools want classes while the fans of big school believe that multiple champions diminish the value of their championship. The public schools want the private schools in their own class. If your school is not a destination, then you want to do away with transfers. I find it ironic that in an earlier post in this tread, a poster started off by belittling the request for classes as coming from adults “who can't stand that their kiddos weren't victorious enough to cut down the nets “ and then turns around and says that collecting of talent needs to be eliminated. Why? Clearly because their school wasn’t victorious enough to cut down the nets. I don’t know what the best solution is, but it will not be discovered by those who can only see their own interests.
  9. According to KHSAA, Calvary has a total of 61 girls enrolled. It seems like they usually do a very good job considering the numbers they have to work with.
