He did in initial post

They've certainly had their share of quality loses however...several by "30 pieces" i believe was the quote
-
Help me determine Lafayette's wins against top teams. Can't include Mercer on that list, obviously. Looks to me that their highest quality wins are over Wayne and Madison Central. Maybe the Lex Cath win by 3. Maybe Lincoln by 14? They've played some great teams, including Henry Clay, Southwest and Dunbar, but we are talking WINS - so you can't count those.
Wouldnt count Wayne because they didnt have Stearns
-
PRP has been before. 6th region
-
His dad took the supt job at Martin Co. So i would assume he is indeed headed to SC
-
It be a great game......don't let one or two fans give Southwestern a bad name. Tempers only flare at Boylr it seems. A lot of last night could have been avoided on both sides.
Why only at Boyle?
-
Id be "snoring" too if my team had lost 5 games by 15 plus points.
-
I guess id go with Kyle Bottoms and Lonnie McGuire .... They dont seem to get rattled or take things personally...agree PP i could not/would not be a ref
-
Who you think?
-
Two things...Larry Bird averaged 31 without the 3 pt line. Number two: if i were Carson id be thrilled to hear that comparison , it would only make me more confident....not cause pressure....
-
. True Malik does not control himself at times on the court ...but few people know that he spends one hour a day mentoring an autistic sfelow student at MCHS. He literally walks laps with him, talks to him , shares his headphones and music with this boy....way to go Malik. Now thats making a difference !Dow is always losing his cool in games -
15 th region. Sheldon Clark HS
-
. Eastern Ky. About 3 hrs from MercerWhere is that located and how far away is that from Mercer County? -
I will say this. Whoever wins it i hope they are of high character and of high academic accomplishment.
-
And Mercer won by 10 AT Wayne when they had Stearns back. Lafayette's win over Wayne on a neutral court was without Stearns. He's arguably their best player and averages over 16 PPG. This, along with the crazy results I mentioned before, goes to show that you can't read too much into one night's result. If you look back, most of the recent state champs have suffered double digit losses in the last 4-6 weeks of their seasons.
And the Jenkins boys combined for 54 points? Wow. Something told me to check that rather than accepting it as truth. It appears they combined for 38. So yeah 54, give or take 16.
IMO Stearns is a potential All State player wben he is healthy .Playing without him and all he does could have been a 20 point difference

Carson Williams will probably get it. I'd give Trevin Faulkner the know over a Will Hager. Faulkner is the best on that Mercer team that came to Lexington and got "popped" by some real comp. I would give the Mr.Basketball to Taveion Hollingsworth a Junior over Will Hager. He's done the most with a way tougher schedule. Hafet not a Mr.Basketball candidate in a lot of people's eyes and the myth of MERCER is no more. They don't play anybody and are slow and not that good against competition. With all the added transfers and hold backs they came to Lexington and got beat by a dangerous Lafayette team with legit Lexington kids and no hold backs. This for you Gunslinger
This for you Bengal 1...come pn over to Rupp and watch Mercer--Dunbar game....or go WATCH the 11th region tourney. District be ur last chance to watch ur team......once again "this for you Bengal1"
-
After watching Lou Central i would certainly not count them out
-
Agreed that Danville is very athletic...Blevins and Stearns from Wayne Co are very athletic as well. Stearns IMO is the most athletic player Mercer has seen. Blevins is the fastest player ive seen this year with the ball
-
Agreed that Danville is very athletic. Also Blevins and Stearns from Wayne Co are also cat quick guards as well. Stearns might be the most athletic player Mercer has faced IMO
-
I really enjoyed watching this game. Centrals coach seemed to be the kind that a player would run thru a wall for. Loved the enthusiasm and demaenor he displayed.
-
Never thought id live long enough to see a Lafayette fan SO excited to beat Mercer Co....must have been same feeling for Wisconsin fans last yr after UK game....hang in there Bengal1...being a hater aint easy
-
Mercer overrated wouldn't fair well in the 11th. Most over hyped team I've seen all year. Outside of Faulkner just overrated with all the transfers. Shows what playing a weak schedule will do for you. Their guards outside of Faulkner slow and can't guard repeatedly beat off dribble all night.
Yeah yeah. We heard you the first post. Blah blah. Post it again Come on over to Rupp and watch mercer vs dunbar game since your season will be long done and over by that point
-
If Lafayette is clicking on all cylinders, they have talent to win 11th. However, this is true for about 4 other teams in 11th.
Dont see them anywhere close to Dunbar as a team
-
Mercer Co is overrated transfers and weak schedule. If u look at the overall scape of it. Mercer beat Lafayette on a last second shot over summer. I knew then when they said they were playing them again they would get beat. Mercer with the transfers would not fair well in the 11th. Let alone the 43rd district. Lafayette beat them by 18 Dunbar would blow them out. Lexington Catholic would beat them and Lexington Christian would hand it to them. Mercer was a good story 20 something and 0 against who though?? They played somebody and got blew out. That's just what it was from the stands. Jaelin Jenkins controlled the pace Harrison Lane found his stroke. Ross Jenkins played big boy basketball. Chris Wharton won off the dribble all night. Eric Powell off the bench was a killer.Jajuante Carpenter was a dog all night and lit them up from all over the court. This proves you can be 291-0 against weak competition and play a team that's in a competitive region with a much harder schedule (Lafayette 15-7) and if you not really that good. You will get EXPOSED! Lafayette Exposed them for what they really were.mercer is a slow but physical if u let them get that way with you team. Don't believe me watch the game tape. Good run for you Mercer and all that hype that came with them. Overrated! The 12th region fans way to show up and support that was really good to see the support from you guys. Jus think Lafayette went to Pulaski Co and lost to Pulaski Southwestern in their home town in the championship game. Mercer needs to beat Southwestern by 20 to get any respect up this way. They not playing nobody. Dunbar was in the building as well as Henry Clay and all say the sane . Mercer would be at the upper bottom in 11th
Only time will tell ...District Region and State are right around the corner.....should Mercer win 12th and beat 11th in first round of State does that validate them ?
