Pick and rolls and back door cut are both a pass that leads to a shot without hesitation, just catch and shoot. I would count them. If you pass it to a player and he takes 2 dibbles and pulls up for a 12-15 footer, then no assist. they are the hardest stat to track accurately.

We played a game last year and our stat guy had a player on the other team with 7 ast and 8 Reb. They put an article in the paper the next day that he had a triple double 12 ast and 14 Reb.
