Heard plenty of stories that define his character.
Good riddance.

Yep. My #1 fear as a parent is that our little guy gets himself mixed up in something his mother and I are helpless in...
Great point. I think all you can do is love them, make sure they know they can always talk to you and as a father, model the way by treating all of the women in your life with respect. And even still...you just never know...

Horrible situation. Really feel for the alleged victim(s) and pray that if these things happened, they can move on and lead happy, productive lives.
Joe Walter has been a tremendous force for good in this community for a long, long time. I feel terrible for he and his wife. This has to be gut wrenching.
If these allegations are true, I hope justice is served swiftly and the victims and families involved (including Joe and his wife) can move on.
Serious, serious stuff. Sobering for any parent to digest and make sense of alleged senseless violence. I can’t imagine what it would be like to have a daughter in this situation. I hope I never find out.
Hug your kids tonight and pray that they surround themselves with good people and make good decisions.

Wow this is Shocking. How in the world does a Loaded CovCath team let a bunch of Common City Boys beat them? Coaching?
Was Joe Federick at the game? Certainly his GPS is still working. Maybe he got caught in traffic over in Cincinnati!
I'm guessing Gronks twin didn't play right? What a tough hangover for the CCH program from Sunday. Two streaks broken. Both by Publics.
Who played well for both teams? How crazy were the Crazies?
Hilarious. Congratulations on the win.

Name for me the last time Covington Catholic played on a grass field? I didn't think so, Pulaski Co. with a big home field advantage and guess what? Pulaski wins.
Zero chance.

Is he related to Steve Spurrier? Just wondering since they both have the last name. Pretty cool if they are.
Grandson, I believe.

That’s some ice cold stuff.... So, no interest in talking about this game between the Colonels and Camels?
Game is over. 28 point win. Shutout.
Regular season is over. Everyone 0-0.
CCH has plenty to work on. Hopefully, they improve each week and earn the right to face the team that gave them a win a few weeks ago.
-
Always wanting to start it.
The comment was a genuine one. Outgaining your opponent 4-1, I would have thought the score would have been different.
Since we are on the topic, you will see Highlands in a few weeks. And this time, maybe they won’t hand you the game.
Always wanting to start it?
See you in a few weeks.
I recall plays on both sides from the last game that each side wish they had back.
-
Figured the score would be more lopsided with those stats!
See you in a few weeks.

Two score win on road v top 10 Indiana team.
Lots to work on for next week, but great win - safe travels.

CCH radio is brutal. Mark Wehry please return to the booth!
Hop on the mic. You and the geniuses that like your post can form a crew. I’m sure it’ll be awesome!

Colonels secondary looking suspect.
They are suspect.
-
I know Beechwood will show up - it’s in their DNA. They will be prepared and they will fight their tails off.
Tons of respect for the Beechwood program.
Go Colonles.

Good to hear Gary Ball’s voice. He did a wonderful job for NKY football for many years, along with Randy Wilson and Kevin Rengering. WTSJ - 1050.
-
A rare drop by Coldiron on 2nd down. That makes it 3rd and 11 for the Colonels.
Edit.
-
Sounds like he signed above the slotted position. Nice job Mr. Rom
The beauty of leverage.

Great catches in critical situations. Love seeing kids laying it on the line for a cause bigger than themselves. The beauty of high school athletics was on full display.
Highlands earned that region championship.
-
Great game. Rom was spectacular. Yes, Kavanaugh would have likely scored, had he tagged. Snap decision in a tight game. Things happen. CCH had a runner picked off 3rd early in game. Kids will be kids.
With that said, both sides fought their tails off.
On the CCH side, knowing Rom was likely coming in the game at some point, it was critical to score as much as they could early. I wish Maile would have been given the chance to swing the bat in the 2nd, with 1 out and runners on 2nd/3rd. Instead, he lays down a great squeeze bunt, but you give up an out. Who knows? Maybe he would not have driven either runner in, or, perhaps he doubles two runs in and there’s still just one out. The small ball philosophy leaves no margin for error. Especially with a shut down Clydesdale in Baioni’s back pocket.
Live by the sword, die by the sword.
Good luck to Highlands in Lexington.
-
The strategy, at least initially, was understandable. Krumps is not one to break tendency. Coach Roesel sold out and Krumps countered nicely. But, it doesn’t work unless the kids swinging the bat make it work. Good job by the Colonels - finding a way.
-
Who was on the bump for CCH?
Maile/Stallman
-
Krumps breaks some tendencies and the Colonels score 3 in the 6th to get the comeback win.

I'm a little confused here...how would moving games to Beechwood do anything to alleviate heat index since it's turf as well??
I would presume it would have more to do with being able to play multiple games at different times of day (ie could play two games at 10:00A and two games at 7P, if necessary).

Great game. Kids on both sides playin their tails off in a great environment. Really fun game - high school athletics at its best.
Good luck to both.
