Boone County's Nathan Rice scored in the first half. Liam Gillespie scored the second goal in the first 10 seconds of the second half. Boone played composed and passed well for the first 25 to 30 minutes of the first half. The last 10 minutes or so they appeared to be in panic mode as Conner was pressing the defense trying to score. Boone held Conner scoreless for the rainy game. The Boone goalkeepers, Tyler Loechel and Brody Caldwell played an excellent game in the rain for the shutout.

Boone played terrible and with having three starters out injured and three other key players not at the game didn't help matters either. On the positive side Boone JV tied Model 3-3 and played well.
