  1. McCracken takes the lead on a throwing error, allowing Zach Sims to reach home from 2nd base. Franzen Ks the next batter to end the inning. It's 4-3 McCracken with five innings complete.
  2. Jacob Napier's night is done. Zach Franzen is coming on in relief and inherits a runner on 1st, no outs.
  3. McCracken has the bases loaded with one out. Jude Farley plates Caeleb James to pull McCracken back within a run. Bases still loaded with one out. Miller Green gets drilled with a pitch to force in a run and tie this one at 3. Napier records his 9th K of the night to get out of the inning. We're knotted up at 3. On to the 5th.
  4. Caeleb James doubles in a run to make it a two run game again. We move to the bottom of the 4th. 3-1 Camels
  5. McCracken's in business with a lead-off triple by Scout Moffatt. Dylan Riley drives in Moffatt to get the Mustangs on the board. They threaten for more, but Napier shuts the door. It's 2-1 Campbell entering the 3rd.
  6. Vineyard adds a run on a bases loaded passed ball to make it 2-0 Camels. Next batter strikes out to end the inning.
  7. Pitching change for McCracken. Caleb Ehling in for Ross Aldridge. Still 1-0 Campbell.
  8. Nothing doing for either team in the 2nd inning. Still 1-0 Campbell as we move to the 3rd.
  9. A missed opportunity there for a crooked number that would have put McCracken on its back heels early.
  10. Good start for the Camels as Greg Vineyard tags the first pitch of the game back up the middle for a lead-off single. Bases are quickly loaded with no outs. McCracken skipper already with a trip to the mound. A Zack Riley sac fly produces the first run of the game before a double play ends the inning. 1-0 Camels
  11. Pitching matchup: Jacob Napier (Campbell) 5-1 with a 3.17 ERA in 57.1 innings pitched vs. Ross Aldridge (McCracken) 6-1 with a 2.64 ERA in 50.1 innings pitched
  12. Nothing against Campbell County, but I'd like to see McCracken win tonight and set a date with St. X. That's a state championship game disguised as a semifinal.
  13. Never in doubt. The Tigers scored in every inning and tightened the grip on their status as tournament favorite. Eight different Tigers drove in at least one run and they tied their own state record with their 33rd double play of the season in the bottom of the 4th.
  14. X tallies 5 runs in the inning to make it 13-0. This one should be over soon. Let's go to the bottom of the 5th.
  15. X is threatening the mercy rule threshold with a 9-0 lead and two runners still on base with no outs. As I'm typing, X singles in another run, making it 10-0. Bases are juiced, still no one out.
  16. Jack Thompson drives in two to increase X's lead to 8-0. The inning isn't over. Bases are now loaded with two outs. CH gets out of the inning without further damage, but an eight run hole against the Tigers seems insurmountable. On to the bottom of the 4th.
  17. CH has its best opportunity to make this a game. The bases are loaded with two outs. X snuffs out the threat with a ground ball out to end the inning. They're headed to the 4th.
  18. John Paul Jardina doubles in another run. X is in complete control, up 6-0 entering the bottom of the 3rd.
  19. A trio of triples adds three more runs to the Tigers' tally. Cooper Smith, Jack Bennett, and Jake Gregor - helping his own cause - recorded three straight three baggers. It's 5-0 St. X moving to the bottom of the 2nd.
