  1. Central wins the tip and we are under way.
  2. Great write-up as always. The 11th is just brutal this year. When you have the 6th ranked team in the region also in the BGP's top 20 that speaks volumes. A lot of regions say it's to bad only one team can go to state, but in the 11th, you will have 3-4 of the top teams in the state not make it. I will say, it makes for great basketball to watch. Should be a great last couple of weeks. Thanks for putting together these rankings every week.:thumb:
  3. Ballard comes to Richmond on Saturday to face Madison Central. Here's hoping that we give them the same reception we gave to Trinity.:ylsuper:
  4. I believe he was out with the flu.
  5. I can't remember who it was, but Feldhaus told Central to part the sea so to speak, and give the a wide open layup. In the excitement of the moment, most kids are going to see that wide opening and take it to the rim. Probably a mental mistake and forgetting no TO left, but that place was crazy and I can see how a player can get caught up in the craziness of the game and can't resist the wide open layup. It was a great game for sure.
  6. Couple of thoughts on the game, but first I just have to say, I am so fortunate that I get to watch high caliber basketball at a HS level thru this year. And better yet my son gets to be a part of it. This has been a great year and we still have plenty of big time games ahead. Central had that gym rocking tonight and it was a great atmosphere. This was a great game, and there is no doubt that if Powell have played things could have been different. It was the Johnson and Scrub show for the most part, but if I am going to have a show, I want them in it. Both are very long and athletic and have very good basketball skills. Trinity "D" was very tough and made it hard for the shorter Central team to get good looks. Offensively I know they missed Powell who would have opened it up with some outside shooting. Cozart had them really second guessing going in to the lane for a good part of the game. Johnson had a couple of nice drives where he just dared Cozart to block him. For Central it was typical Central basketball. Very tough "D" and offense in spurts. They didn't run into the scoring drought that they tend to at times, and they were very efficient with the ball and scoring and didn't turn it over very much, which is key for them. Rocks missing a big time player is a factor, but we'll take the win and get ready for the next game. Rollllllllllllllllllllll Tribeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
