Campbell by double digits again...

Feel like it's going to be a rough year for the Lady Royals and Coach Cox. Reed and Moran can't do it all by themselves, especially with the two super teams in the 10th this year. Back to reality for the Lady Royals.

There were over 400 people interviewed with regards to the civil case in the Sandusky scandal. Schiano wasn't one of those people. It would be safer to assume it was highly unlikely Schiano knew anything at this point. Research Dan Wetzel from Yahoo sports and he will help enlighten you on the situation at Penn State which you act like you know everything about.
So because me nor @UKMustangFan neither one would want Schiano coaching our teams because he was there during the same time is a poor reason to not look at him? C'mon man, you're only taking up for him because he's at OSU. His coaching ability isn't enough to overlook the fact he's associated with Penn St and Jerry Sandusky.
-
By lumping him into that it stains his reputation as a "Penn State guy" him being there was just pure bad luck and you want to punish him for that based on no evidence that he was involved in any sort of wrongdoing? Come on.
Guilty by association, if I'm an AD I wouldn't consider him either. It's highly unlikely that he didn't know something was going on.

Not really an excuse? Just a fact. You get to the top of the mountain and then you fall off, and when you fall it’s a long road back up and this is especially prominent in smaller schools. Look at Augusta and Brossart for recent examples. We play the cards we are dealt and that’s the way she goes.
I think our kids have a lot of room to grow and I expect a closer game next time in Brooksville.
I'm just busting your chops, but seriously please don't use it as an excuse after every game.

Sounds like Tennessee is now considering Jeff Brohm, Chad Morris, Dave Doeren, and Tee Martin.
I think Brohm should be their main target and would be an outstanding hire.

The Royals' bench play was very good last night, yes I know it was St. Pat, but if they can get good production from the bench that helps them a lot. If the Royals can knock down the outside shot, which will be their weakness this season, then they'll be able to come back to Maysville 2-0 after week 1.

One positive to take away is Bracken County out rebounded Pendleton County by about 15. They are big in the post and I think need to use that to their strength. Jhace Cummins a sophomore really impressed me coming off the bench. I see him starting before the years over. This is nothing I didn’t expect. Just the natural cycle of a rural 1A school.
C'mon man.... Don't start with this excuse already. :ohbrother:

Since @LCDAWGS19 disappointed me last night, I'm gonna pick the Musketeers by 5. :(
-
So since FD was missing 3 starters and a bench player this game essentially means nothing.
-
What three new players do they have?
Rahkeem “Bobo” Swanston a senior from the Virgin Islands who moved in with someone in Robertson Co due to his home being destroyed by the hurricanes, Sebastian Dixon a freshman from Mason County, and Brandon Dice who I think is a freshman from Bracken County.
-
I’m glad Robertson County has a good squad, however it does bother me that they have 3 new players. Also I believe I said in the top players thread that Alex Schalch was Robertson’s best player as he lead them in scoring tonight.
Congrats PK and the Devils, I’d love to see them win the All-A. This will be the first time they have a chance since the King Twins years.

Final from Morehead, the Lady Royals inexperice showed as they were up 47-45 with 3 seconds left and turned the ball over underneath RC’s basket off an inbounds pass which allowed Rowan to send the game to over time.

Ouch.... I expected it to be bad, but not this bad. Gonna be a long year for the Polar Bears, I'm sure my boy LCDawgs will have the stats.

What you mean Fresno State isn't a good team? Also Louisville 4 losses and they could whip up on Miss St.
Maybe now that Fitzgerald is out, but when Miss. St plays like they did against Alabama, Louisville couldn't come within 14 points of them.

Final from the Fieldhouse.
Mason County scoring: Xylon Frey lead the Royals with 15pts and 9 rebounds, Dunnaway 12pts and 8 rebounds, Lofton 11, Steward 8pts and 8 rebounds Boyd 7, Muse 4pts, Jackson 3, Devine 3, Perkins 2, and Riggs 1.
St. Patrick scoring: Bauer 10, Black 6, J. Swolsky 5pts and 6 rebounds, Jones 4, Muehlbauer 3, McKay 2, and Klingelhoffer 1.
Credit all of that to Evan Dennison of the Ledger Independent.

So essentially the SEC gets two teams in with a loss by Wisconsin or Oklahoma? Never thought I’d say this, but Go Buckeyes!
-
So assuming these rankings, winner of ACC and SEC Championship is in. If TCU beats Oklahoma or Ohio State beats Wisconsin, does that move Alabama in?
-
What about Mark Elder at EKU? Wasn't he an assistant at Tennessee before taking the EKU job?
Elder hasn’t impressed me at EKU.
-
Can Kentucky give them Mark Stoops and then get Lane Kiffin in return?
-
UK hasnt had real competition in the SEC for the past 5 years.
:lol2: :lol2: Okay buddy whatever you say, I guess Florida going to Final Fours the same years UK does isn't good enough competition.

Everyone does such this year in relation to past years. Every single team is extremely flawed and in most years would have already been out of consideration.
We'll just agree to disagree.

What are you even talking about? What part of my post implies that I think Bama sucks? I compared them to 2015 Ohio State who I and a lot of other people across the country thought was a top 4 team but happened to unfortunately lost a tough game to a team that made the playoffs. Bama is going to get lucky this year because there will be multiple 2 loss conference champs and they will get in because of that. In 2015 it was all undefeated or 1 loss conference champs that made the playoffs.
You implied that everyone sucks this year, which I said I don't believe that. The top 5 teams (in my mind) are Clemson, Oklahoma, Auburn, Alabama, and Georgia, all of which have lost 1 game (with the exception of Auburn) to other top ranked teams. The only team trying to be considered in the playoffs that has a bad loss is Ohio State.
-
Their first true road game is tomorrow. That'll be a wild environment but they should win on talent alone. They will lose some conference games.
Indiana is awful this year, which is expected, so I expect Duke to win fairly easily.
Expectations for Tiger's Return

Last time around I didn't think Tiger looked healthy, he walked gingerly and didn't have much speed/power in his swing. However this time I think he looks healthy and he has much more power and speed than he did before. I don't expect him to win or even finish in the top-10 for that matter, but I do expect him to be able to play a lot more this season.
