Surprised too see Apollo still unable to put that talent together to upend Owensboro. Sounds like Holman had a good game..will be an interesting 3rd region tourney no doubt.

What about the 1917 championship game..Owensboro 12 Somerset 9..what if a low score happened like that in the tourney, would that change things I wonder, as for me I like the no shot clock...to me it can level the advantage of a running team somewhat. Just my thoughts that if it happens on a big stage that it may cause change.

Very good chance Owensboro is 1-4 in those final five..This seems for Apollo like 1997..beat OHS in regional final..IMO thats a very good possibility. Should be an interesting tourney...

Apollo has the most potential..in my opinion ......Owensboro appears much like 20-2 Webster County..really no real tough opponents that they have beaten ...... as for Apollo..once Trace Young and Eli Wright gel they should be very tough come tourney time...

Interesting that they won both the basketball and football state championship in 1917. I read somewhere that one of the football players played for Center College when they upset Harvard. Quite the tradition there at Owensboro Sr.

Owensboro is average.have talent but as many have reported,lack motivation at times....Muhlenberg is kinda down this season...Owensboro lost two games at KOB...the loss to Wayne County came after being up by 18 in the 3rd quarter... They were overrated in the preseason polls..there somewhere around 15 to 25 I think in the latest polls.

Yep they sure aren't.. 3rd region looking pretty weak top to bottom..no clear favorite...tough on each other though...looks like another early exit at Rupp for the 3rd.

Started off 18 to 4 Daviess Co....guess they never looked back..kinda surprised at this score

He probobly just doesn't wanna play during the first week of April.. At Kansas he will not have to worry bout that.

Imo Apollo..I think by end of year they will play several games at Rupp.

But those aren't titles, and by and large that's the bulk of Owensboro's success, those numerous trips to the Sweet 16. How many titles in the three main sports does the city have? I know the Red Devils have three in football (I'm not going to count a mythical title in 1917).

4 basketball. 4 football. 6 baseball. 27 team state championships in all at Owensboro Sr. alone...not sure about the other 3 schools there Owensboro gets my vote.

Having no luck viewing videos of past games on khsaa.net I've tried on iPad. And a PC. IM getting the sound but no video..any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated...thanks.

Holman or Miller didn't start in one of the games in the EHT..I'm not sure if they try an start off small to be quick..In the game when they didnt start over here Morrow had 22 in the first quarter. He seems to be much improved this season...
