Excellent group of players in the NKY area, best of luck the rest of the way gentlemen.

  2. This has nothing to do with my son as much as you would like to make it personal.

Additionally, I find it pretty ironic that you would post this in a thread trying to chastise another BGP member and then would group a whole team of kids the way you have in this thread:

Look internet tough guy, please try using constructive words like struggled, need work, need to get better, things like this, remember the players read these boards, and they are only high school kids, not college or pro's. which is a whole different ball game. It's clear you don't have any kids playing high school sports, thank GOD, but try and be a little more constructive on these boards, please, remember the players are trying there best, and sometimes it's tough. thank you. BTW NCC line isn't horrible, they'll be fine in district play, best of luck to the Breds.

    ==========================

So who is the Internet Tough Guy now? At least people know who I am BillyBob.

??? I think I said, and I'll quote, "Your son is A NICE PLAYRER, how is this a bad thing? Why all the hate, Guru, I'm confussed?

  3. You got me, Dixie should be ranked #1 in the nation because they have all the best players in the history of high school football.

Your friends are idiots if they think only one player from Boone would start for Dixie and I will be glad to tell any of your idiot friends in person what an idiot they are so feel free to introduce them to me.

At no time did I ever say Dixie was the #1 team in the nation, nor do I care. I'll be the adult here. Your son is a nice player, period. My friends are most certainly not idiots, I asure you. I'll be happy to let them know your feelings though. Have a nice day Guru.

  4. From the Guru : "Dixie has a handful of really nice players. However, Boone has some players that would start at Dixie, not many, but some."

LOL, All my buddies agree, the ONLY player Boone has that would start on Dixie would be the Floyd kid, that's it. This coming from guys who watch a lot of high school games, week in, week out, and not from a dad who has a son who is a decent player on Boone's team. You have to look at things from a non-bias eye, with no dogs in the fight, sorry Guru.

  5. Jealousy is a bad thing Guru. I see you said Dixie is soft at some positions, name a position Boone is better then Dixie at. I'm waiting. BTW some people I talked to after the game said NCC would have beat Boone too. Most if not everyone on here knows your son plays for Boone, that said, the reality is Boone isn't good, and has nothing coming up through the system. I was told Boone's freshman lost to Cooper 38-0 and Dixie's freshman 60-0, again I'm not hating on Boone it's just the reality. I will agree with one thing you said about Dixie, they are inconsistent. The ONLY great team apparently in NKY might be Highlands. One last thing, with everyone I talked to about this game not one person said that ANY Boone player gave Dixie any type of " fits." Come on Guru you're better then this.

  6. Dixie too much for the Rebels.

Boone did play decent on defense tonight and Boone's D was on the field nearly the whole game.

??? Boone did play decent on defense ??? They had given up 38 pts, right after half. How is this good, from everything I was hearing about this game was Dixie could have scored 100 if they wanted. Boone isn't good, bottom line, so come on GURU, let's be real. I went to the SK/RYLE game, Dixie is the best 6A team right now, but things could change. JMO. A buddy of mine was saying Boone looked scared the whole game, and didn't even attempt to tackle, Dixie's running backs, what in the world is going on with Boone County? Again just what I'm hearing, sorry Guru.

  7. Nominations are now open for Week 4 performers!! Make your nomination at Joe Lay & Sons Plumbing in Northern Kentucky and Southern Ohio

OK, for week 4, I'll nominate Colson Machlitt of Dixie Heights Senior DE, Mr. Machlitt had 5 sacks, along with 7 tackles for loss against NCC on Sat. The young man played an outstanding game, and was named the Defensive Player of the week by the NKY Enquirer. Great looking player 6'3" 235. He get's my vote. Thank you guys for doing this for these HS kids.

  8. Offensive Player of the Week: Tate Grainger QB, Bellevue – The senior broke the school's single-game record with six touchdown passes. He also completed 23-of-31 passes for 356 yards in the Tigers' 50-14 win.

Defensive Player of the Week: Colson Machlitt DE, Dixie – The senior recorded four sacks and six tackles for losses in Dixie's 34-13 win over NewCath on Saturday afternoon.

I'll have to get to a Bellevue game soon, what a day for Mr. Grainger, WOW! I got to see Mr. Machlitt on Sat. he was amazing at DE, a job well done gentlemen, congrats.

  9. JD, I don't post near as often as I used to to and one of the reasons why is the same as your's. I get so tired of the "I'm entitled to have an opinion" and "this place is for expressing opinions". Sorry to those that feel that way but the right to express an opinion comes with responsibility.

We are talking high school kids playing a sport, hopefully, because they love the sport. As long as they are working hard and learning life lessons of dedication, commitment and teamwork, we as adults should be happy with their efforts.

As always JD, great post and I couldn't agree more with you.

    AMEN!
