  1. Cooper had players hurt also as their starting TE got hurt before the season even started and hasn't played at all and had others hurt for the Campbell game. Can't pick and choose to benefit one team and not use the same criteria for the other. The starting TE would have been one of the few returning starters for Cooper's offense, instead he misses his entire senior season. Cooper had 4 of their top 5 players out for the SK game, does that mean Cooper should be ranked ahead of SK?

Could be, but England might be the best back in NKY, still a huge difference, with Ryle and No England. Should be a good gauge this week who might be better. Dixie beat Ryle by 11, we'll see what the final is come Friday night against Cooper. Don't give me this game means nothing either, first of all it's high school kids playing, not the NFL, and it's probably senior night for Dixie, I'm guessing. We'll see. I'll go with Dixie 42 Cooper 6.

  2. 1. Highlands (11) 119

    2. Dixie Heights (1) 109

    3. Simon Kenton 95

    4. Beechwood 79

    5. Covington Catholic 62

    6. Ryle 60

    7. Cooper 51

    8. Campbell County 38

    9. Newport Catholic 19

    9. Scott 19

    Others: Newport 6, Walton-Verona 2, Boone County 1

    Thoughts?

It's been a LONG two and a half weeks on the road. Good to be home. Missed a lot of good NKY football. Looks like Highlands and Dixie are heads and heels above everyone else. Hearing Dixie has looked very good the past two or three weeks. Not surprised, think they might have the MOST talented players in NKY this season. Here would be my top 10

    1) Highlands, but not that much of a spread between them and the Red Colonels, guessing Dixie would like a due over again against the Blue Colonels.

    2) Dixie

    3) Beechwood

    4) Simon Kenton- Guessing Dixie's two way players didn't get tired?

    5) Ryle- Rlye beat Cov. Cath

    6) Cov. Cath

    7) Campbell County Didn't CC beat Cooper? How can you put them behind Cooper?

    8) Cooper

    9) NCC

    10) Scott

  3. Only thing I am worried about is finding a good seat to watch Powell run over some D1 linemen and shread that Dixie defense again!

"Wake up, wake up " Uk#1 fan it's time for school. I'd love to stay on here and go back and forth with ya, but I've got a run to make, I'll be back tomorrow evening, I'll talk at ya then UK, again it's good to have back.

  4. I'm not going to waste everyone's time, simple and sweet. I said two, three weeks ago SK would beat Dixie. After watching this game last night, Dixie's defense, with Owens, Johnson, and Machlitt, looked like men against boys. IF Dixie plays like they did last night against SK, SK will be in for a LONG night, Dixie is hitting there stride at the right time. This Dixie team, RIGHT NOW, might be as good on defense as I've seen in the last 10-15 years in NKY. WOW!!!! Good luck to both SK, and Dixie next week, BTW SK, you're going to need it!

  5. Is the Owens or the other DE getting any looks?

Good to see you back UK#1, we missed you. Yes, the Machlitt kid from Dixie is a Hot topic right now for almost ALL the Div. 1 Mac schools, my peeps are telling me, and from what I'm hearing. He's the flavor of the week I guess. He is having a monster year at this point, and yes, I've seen him play twice and, YES, he's the real deal, 6' 3' 235 or so, guessing, from what I've seen. He might be as athletic as any player in NKY, he looks like a similar version of Connor Barwin, who played at UC> IMO, he'll be playing OLB, as a pass rusher, in college, if in fact he get's a Div 1 offer. Next week game between SK and Dixie, should be epic. Good to see you back UK#1 fan, good luck to SK the rest of the way.

  6. I could understand it, I understood it from the very start. You were the one who felt you needed to clarify it and when you did made the mistake of saying it was the top 26 at each position.

You should have said the top 26 players covering all the positions.

Also Billy, I'm not upset at all, actually wasn't even thinking anything wrong with the list just putting in my opinion was all. It does however seem that you have become very upset and I don't understand why.

Trust me, I'm not upset at all. It's your list and 100% your opinion. That doesn't make it right or wrong, it just makes it your own personal list.

The one thing however I don't understand is if you didn't want any opinions, then why did you post it? I mean seriously lol, I am missing something I guess. Maybe you should have posted it and asked a mod to close the thread so no one could reply. Don't get upset buddy, I have no problem with your list knowing it's simply your opinion. That's awesome.

Also, it may serve you right to go through my posts and re-read them, it wasn't me talking about the games Armstrong rested etc. it was another poster, so if you have a problem with him feel free to bring it up with that person. Not me.

Now, I do find it funny how I said basically the same thing others have yet it's me you attack? Seriously, lighten up Francis.

It's a waste of every ones time when you get on here and act like it's the Top 26 players at each position, again you're just being a jerk about it. it's that simple, and I don't like talking, or discussing things on message boards with smart aleck people, This will be my last reply to you, good day.

TOP 26 Players at each position, 1 at each position, does this help you out.

  8. I keep hearing the CC/Dixie game was much closer. But even if you take away the two returns, CC beat them 27-7. And Dixie only put 7 points on the board. And the heat would have been bad for both teams...understand Dixie had two-way players, but the heat was still the same. And did CC score several points late in the game, when exhaustion was a factor? So I'm clearly missing something that would make me think this was a better game than it looks like on paper.

Not challenging because I wasn't there, just curious because when I hear the reasons, it still seems like they still handled them pretty easily. Just curious!

Halftime score 20-7, CC returned 2 Punts in the first 3 min of the game. Third Qr. heat caught up to Dixie's staters playing both ways, most of there one's ran out of gas, 2's stated entering the game, final 41-7, enough said. Again this was the reality of this game, not 5 , 95 yards 12 play drives where CC smashed Dixie, not even close to that, it just simple wasn't.

  9. ???

You aren't making much sense, sorry. We were pointing out that you had Slusher as one of the top WR's in the list you had for NKY top 26 players. We pointed out that he isn't even the top WR on his own team at Beechwood and was a better LB than WR and if you were going to have him on the list, LB would be the spot that made most sense. How can a player be on the top 26 players as a WR if the other 2 WR's in front of him on his very own team aren't on there?

I'm a Cooper guy, I was simply talking about the better WR's on BW than Slusher is all because you listed him. If you notice I mentioned ARmstrong, who isn't a Beechwood guy in my very first post. Sorry to get you upset, but you posted this list, you shouldn't post it if you didn't expect to have comments on it.

One last thing, if it is top 26 NKY players at each position, you have a lot more to go for each position, like 22 per spot to go lol.

It's pretty clear, it's the top 26 NKY players, which they have at the end of the year voting, sorry you couldn't understand, which 99% on here could, Cooper guy. You're just upset, because the ONLY Cooper player who would be on this list is Mr. Watson, who very much should be. BTW, you DON'T rest one of your better players against SK, just because of injuries to other players, this isn't the NFL, just an excuse so YOUR player looks better on paper. Mr. Cordell is a very nice player, he's not ahead of Mr.Powell, or Mr.England on this list, sorry. Now go back to your Cooper treads.
