Stephen Myers places sixth at sr Nationals in one of the toughest tourneys in the country at 152 to become one of Kys few sr all Americans and this yrs only Sr AA and Campbell County's first ever !!!!!!!! Myers Brothers are high school All Americans two yrs in a row and Austin Myers becomes KYs first ever two time nat champ and stays on course to be the best Kentucky wrestler of all time , You think any colleges will want a top eight sr in the nation or a Soph who is a two time state and nat champ ?????????? Stephen beat every sr he wrestled in two states many of whom already signed for college Ali g with many who have and had signed since his fresh yr , To come on a board and act as if he cannot make it in college or is not being recruited shows the ignorance of those in the state about the level of kids in the sport or simply the bias some have ,fee if any kid In the state had or has had the success he has had against top notch kids in the sport in his career ,never placing below fourth in inn season events and only once losing more than one match in any tournament then as a fresh in the toughest tournament in the nation placing fourth , Who would want him . Austin won fresh nationals and the outstanding Wrestler award there , and is a 2 timer who is undefeated in HS inn and out of season , he will be "tagging"along unofficially to numerous college visits with his brother and a few of his own well before the end of his Jr Yr , Never looked on a recruiting website LOL , just spent countless hrs taking kids to practices and tournaments across the nation since their first grade yr What kids are saying or announcing at times actually scares some schools off making them think they are wasting their precious time recruiting a kid they cannot get !!!!! But I'm sure YOU know more than anyone else !!!!! Stephen is the only sr in the state ranked by either intermat or win magazine , doubt he wrestles in college

All the girl boy boy scared talk is ridiculous. Cov Cath football will benefit from wrestling. CC has numerous stud football players that wrestle none of whom cut hardly at all, four of whom placed at state one a two x champ, another a champ, and runner up another a future champ and another a possible future champ. A lot of great football players did wrestle and were HS champs. Highlands is totally in the dark on wrestling as is CC Football coach pretty much because he came from a school that did not have wrestling "Highlands " When D1 College football coaches are running to mat side to watch wrestlers who do both sports and are dominating wrestling, I think it speaks volumes. As far as off season training, no football player at Highlands or elsewhere who has not wrestled could last a real wrestling practice or hang in the gym or otherwise with a good wrestler. Pound for pound quicker stronger and more agile than football players, and some are all around stronger. Not many girls wrestle in HS not a big issue. The honeymooner post is ignorant. Wrestling is the first step in MMA wich is overtaking all sports .

Reply to the college question , why anyone who knows wrestling in KY or Ohio or pretty much anywhere knows he will wrestle in College just as they know that or someone is undecided the don't drop names of schools , in a couple months you will have your answer , And by the way , Stephen is the only sr ranked by win magazine in the state and they were done after the state tourney , Stephen is 16 , Brock Ervin is 5 , Nate Boston is 19 , ATM is 7 the highest and only Soph ranked at 220 , all in their weight classes all overall ranki g in the nation , now you answer my question , who's the best sr wrestler in the state , the brothers have over 120 wins between them .... Just this yr , Grade level nationals in a few weeks , ATM won fresh nat and the Ow last yr there, so you think he is D1 material , lol

Why would he go anywhere he can wrestle for any school and walk on everyone he will stay at CC where he can become it first ever 3x champ and hammer all the buckeyes again as he did this yr then put his hands behind his back and stand up like a tree and smash everyone at state , and no coach will say a word to him , Its like telling Elvis he has no charisma , he does what he wants he earns it .

Yes I skipped the part about college offers because it was ridiculous , do you think a kid who has been ranked nationally since the sixth grade wouldn't get a college offer ? And To ask if Austin is a D1 level wrestler simply proves you know absolutely NOTHING about this sport , guarantee he is the most highly recruited wrestle ever in the history of the state , probably has more letters than any kid in the state already !!!!

As I said if I'm not mistaken , and clarkston wasn't anywhere near the wrestler Austin is , learn your history , Youth Tulsa national champ , jr high gold medal winner at national duals , an Ohio jr high ow winner who would have easily won state as an eighth grader had he been in ky and perhaps as a seventh grader , and clarkston was no where near Austin's sise . And for the record Bankampers reports in the paper are total fabrications , Stephen did not chose to ride his opponent out tey ha a selling warning against French and kicked him he did not escape , and the win for Campbell ds not come down to Stephen they were well Behind and Stephen needed a pin as did Austin in order for Campbell to win , something that was to much to ask of a kid who was wrestling ata lighter weight just two weeks earlier because his teammate blew his weight not because it Ws his choice , a major blunder by his coaches an his teammate not him , pinning a loss on a kid who scored more points than anyone in the tournent the previous yr and helped give you a state title to begin with and give your team a shot at another is weak and classless , without Stephen on the team many of those kids who improved so much would not have done as well as they did , CC lost by ten add it up Stephen could have won an Austin could have won and CC could have still lost , pathetic and false information , and a coach doesn't point fingers at his athlete on a loss the choice is his not his athlete and ha Stephen been able to wrestle at 160 weeks before as he had planne he would have had more gas and horsepower ,this piece of garbage knows a thing or two about how the body works evidently a lot more than some coaches it takes a while to adjust and build strength BAck know your history look mine up as I said KYs first ever four time champ over 170 or so , and if people can't get their facts straight I'm sure CC can keep its winstreaks at two and Austin can add two elsewhere , now keep pointing fingers at the kid who put The last ring on yours .
