Meinken is a city owned field. The city maintains the field and all the maintenance. Up until the last couple of years Holmes and Holy Cross were not allowed to do anything to it.

I saw the folks in red shirts and I just assumed it was Beechwood folks. Kudos to whomever escorted her out. The game was too hard fought to have something like that happened. The ref's have enough to keep track of on the court, they shouldn't have to worry about the folks in the stands coming on to the court. I was surprised there wasn't a police officer at the game also.

Congrats to Holmes on the victory last night. Not the cleanest of games played, but both teams played extremely hard and left everything they had on the court. Scary moment in the game was when one of the referee's called an offensive fouls on a Holmes player (easy call as she extended the arm and pushed off) and a fan comes out of the front row and 2-3 steps on the court after the ref. The ref immediately signaled for game management and had the fan thrown out of the gym. No matter how bad you think a call is, you can NEVER go onto the court after the referee. Kudos to Beechwood's administration for handling this situation swiftly and correctly.
