Carson Williams had at least a dozen in game dunks as an eighth grader.

No private schools in the 8th. I wonder what other regions can say the same thing?

Played at SK...I assume they will play a JV game as well in the auxillary gym
I thought the JV played prior to the varsity but I'm not sure.

Pretty sure this will be a closed scrimmage...[/QUO
Why do you think so?

Glad to see Maniacci playing for Thomas More.
Sad not seeing McNeil listed. I really enjoyed watching him play.
Also hear that McGovney has looked really good.
Was Maniacci at LMU last season?
-
He was measured in the Spring at 6'8 with no shoes.
Weyer (NCC)
McDonald (NCC)
Wilson (CC)
Williams (Owen Co.)
I saw Wilson recently ans I'd say he is close to 6'9" with shoes on.

What does their current roster look like? They have some more open spots don't they?
I've heard several names but I don't know who is in for sure.
-
I heard that Matt Wilson of Campbell Co will be joining the Travelers. This is a great addition to the team and they were really needing a player like him. He should click well with Braxton and Carson.
-
Congrats! I think Timmy will fit in well with LMU and being a Carson-Newman fan I'll get to see him play a few times.

Yeah, who did these rankings?
Maybe Next Up Recruits.

John is definitely one of the best! He already serves as AD. Does a great job preparing and teaching kids. I think he has been in administration for quite some time now.
Currently serving as interim principal also.

The EYBL is a very small event when comparing to pretty much everything else. The event really only needs 4-6 courts to run through all 40 teams in regular season play. 8 courts is the most on the EYBL circuit and most of the games on courts 5-8 are from the 16U side. KBA will be the perfect size to host an EYBL stop...
I wasn't concerned about the number of courts but the seating and room for players to hang out while not playing. The EYBL events that I have attended usually have college coach seating on the end lines which is limited at KBA. There are tables for people to sit and eat. The sponsors have booths set up and there is room for players to warm up and be treated by trainers. I am thrilled that a session will be held locally but it's gonna be tight in there.

Is the Cat's Pause already out or did you get a sneak peek?

Saw on twitter that it will be the last weekend in April which is the live period and I'm pretty sure the EYBL will bring in refs at least I hope so. I was told that most of them are college refs and except for a couple of glaring exceptions, what I have seen of them has been pretty good. Now I'm trying to figure out where they are going to put everyone at the KBA. Wonder if they will use LCA too. Surprised this isn't being held at the fairgrounds after the success of the Super Showcase and AAU Nationals.

Ben Roberts says it will be in mid-May next year.
Is that a live period? I'm thinking not.

I agree! IMO the KHSAA shouldn't be able to tell kids what they can and can't do out of that sports season. They allow for fall baseball as well. As you said, the current rule has hurt KY kids.
I agree. It isn't right that KHSAA can tell kids what they can and cannot do on a Saturday in August or September. Too much power if you ask me.

Anyone know what Wilson weighs? Does he like to beat and bang inside? I've never seen him play that I can recall.
-
Drew McDonald is ranked a little too low in my opinion.

Isn't Tyler Sharp a jr?

It is cool. Been 3 weeks now and no coverage of him by the local or Northern Ky news outlets. Seems as if social media is the only way to get exposure these days. I heard there were over a 100 people at his signing. You would think at least the local paper (Grant County News) would run a story about him. Nothing so far. College basketball signings are rare in the area I live. I would think it would merit some attention.
I agree but often in a small town, if a coach or parent doesn't submit the picture to the local paper or at least ask them to cover the signing it won't be in there. At least that's how it is where I live. If I was his coach I would go ahead and submit the picture now. People in the community need to see positive things like this.

Traveler's schedule for Thursday?

Anyone have any idea what is up with the AAU website? Can't find schedules on it anymore...
I've been trying to find schedules for a couple of days now. I keep going in circles and running into broken links. Frustrating.:irked:

The site indicates that these rankings were compiled by a 14 year old.
