  1. The EYBL is a very small event when comparing to pretty much everything else. The event really only needs 4-6 courts to run through all 40 teams in regular season play. 8 courts is the most on the EYBL circuit and most of the games on courts 5-8 are from the 16U side. KBA will be the perfect size to host an EYBL stop...

I wasn't concerned about the number of courts but the seating and room for players to hang out while not playing. The EYBL events that I have attended usually have college coach seating on the end lines which is limited at KBA. There are tables for people to sit and eat. The sponsors have booths set up and there is room for players to warm up and be treated by trainers. I am thrilled that a session will be held locally but it's gonna be tight in there.

  2. Saw on twitter that it will be the last weekend in April which is the live period and I'm pretty sure the EYBL will bring in refs at least I hope so. I was told that most of them are college refs and except for a couple of glaring exceptions, what I have seen of them has been pretty good. Now I'm trying to figure out where they are going to put everyone at the KBA. Wonder if they will use LCA too. Surprised this isn't being held at the fairgrounds after the success of the Super Showcase and AAU Nationals.

  3. I agree! IMO the KHSAA shouldn't be able to tell kids what they can and can't do out of that sports season. They allow for fall baseball as well. As you said, the current rule has hurt KY kids.

I agree. It isn't right that KHSAA can tell kids what they can and cannot do on a Saturday in August or September. Too much power if you ask me.

  4. It is cool. Been 3 weeks now and no coverage of him by the local or Northern Ky news outlets. Seems as if social media is the only way to get exposure these days. I heard there were over a 100 people at his signing. You would think at least the local paper (Grant County News) would run a story about him. Nothing so far. College basketball signings are rare in the area I live. I would think it would merit some attention.

I agree but often in a small town, if a coach or parent doesn't submit the picture to the local paper or at least ask them to cover the signing it won't be in there. At least that's how it is where I live. If I was his coach I would go ahead and submit the picture now. People in the community need to see positive things like this.
