Anyone besides me remember the great Nick Bockwinkel? He was a fine technician(trained by Lou Thesz) in the ring. He was also very intelligent, cocky, and could trash talk an opponent or the crowd with verbiage that would made a Harvard grad jealous.
I was trying to think of an old timer who could really wrestle and my mind kept taking me to Harley Race but I was trying to think of Bockwinkel. Thank you.

He may be a different type of wrestler than you like and not as agile and fast paced as two you mentioned but he definitely can wrestle as his NCAA wrestling championship and two time all American honors prove. When it comes to big men he actually “ out wrestles” almost all of them.
Braun is the flavor of the week right now but Brock is a much more technically gifted wrestler than he is

I took it as more he understood what had to be done but now it’s time to go and he realizes he’s on backside of his career. Think it was also a little statement to some younger guys to find another gear

I’m at WKRP in Cincinnati. C’mon man!! I’m just disappointed in all of you!

From the 8th region ,let Dixie or “the rest of field “do damage in the regional tournament like last year. And let’s see who’s going farther we will see in the state tournament . That’s all that means anything.
What exactly are you trying to say? For one, Dixie is in 9th, not 8th

I could be wrong but haven’t these two hooked up for last game of year for a while?

Sorry about spelling on last post. Drives me nuts.
I hope to see Seth and Finn in a one on one match in future. Would be really good.
One of the things I don’t like about wwe lately is there are too many matches where champ has to beat 2,3 or even 4 people. Know Seth/Finn wouldn’ t be a title match but I love a good one on one match. Takes me back to Flair and Steamboat.
-
It was great, the Cena/Miz March was strong and so was the final match with 4 competitors even though ending was a little goofy. But if they are setting up a Seth/Finn match, they should make it an hour long. Two really good in ring performers.
Now, about Matt Hardy... stop.

I’m blessed to have known both of them. She loved her Colonels.

Thank you. I think his D is a big factor for this team. Hoping to make it to districts and regional

Couldn't disagree more. He's one of the most over performers on the roster.
Agreed. Many of the WWE vets like this guy a lot. Total team player, brings a physical presence and pretty good on mic.

When were you there last? Indy has turned it around the last 4 to 5 years. I am not a fan of huge cities. Boston has far too many people for me. If I am raising a family as a coach, you can do far worse than raising them in Carmel
Indy also has grounded, nice people like most rust belt cities. I can’t use the words I would like to for the elitist, arrogant, boorish people of Boston. Been there 3 times. Never going back. I visit Indy couple times a year. Really enjoy it

Highlands will be much better at the plate this year. and I think we all know how the pitching will be. Improvements of players will much outweigh the loses. Good luck to the rest of the field. You’re all playing for second this year.
Skip the season and the region tourney and get to the state tourney. Every other team just cancel your season.
It only takes one bad day or one great pitching performance. Just ask 2005 Beechwood team or 2009 CCH team.

Haven’t seen a game in 5-6 weeks. Is Nowak still getting some good minutes? When I caught a few games early in year, loved his D and his ability to “upset” the man he was guarding.
-
Most seem to be. Not sure if they are told to but when it comes to Cena, Titus, Marc Henry and bunch others, it seems to be very genuine.
-
Checked into SMackdown last night and once again saw at end of night where AJ will face KO and SZ in next pay per view.
I don’t watch this show religiously but here’s what I’ve seen last 6 weeks. The 3 mentioned above, New Day with pancakes and Shane/Bryant feuding. Seems like they don’t have enough material to have 2nd show.
-
I think if the everyday public realized how much the WWE does for the sick/kids, they’d change their tune on wrestling.
I’ve said this before on bgp but Cena goes to hospitals in almost every city he visits where he can without having to fly in/out. I loved the old time wrestlers but what they do today outside of ring is just awesome.

Didn't Belichik pull the same shenanigans with the Jets? Or was that Parcells? Regardless, one of those two changed his mind on a head coaching job and I don't think it had much impact on their career.
Actually it's starting to look like McDaniels is modeling his career path after Belichick... Failure in his first go-round as a head coach and getting fired, jerking around a team that offered him a head coaching job, being an assistant for a Hall of Fame coach...
He didn’t hire two coaches away from other teams. Not cool.

Here’s what college recruiting rankings leave out: toughness, desire, ego and most importantly, coaching.
If you had a kid who could play at any D1 school of his choosing, who would you like for them to pick. I’d pick Saban 1st, 2nd and then Meyer 3rd.
-
What's the 9th region record for the number of D1 pitchers on one staff ?
How many will Highlands have when all is said and done? 3? 4?
I’m sure it’s very rare. I had a cousin who played on 2000 CCH team. They had Harmon, Durr, Kunkel and Maynard who went D1 although Durr was not primarily a pitcher but was said to have touched 90. Also had Fry (sp? ) and Hembree who pitched college ball as well. Think a couple of JV guys that year also pitched college. Had Grogan at ss who played D1 as well.

It's hard to use a 4 game stretch against Brady where he was just ok and then say it should have been Bell or Brown. Bell the first 3 games of last season had ok but not overwhelming stats. Brown had 3 to 4 games of just ok but not overwhelming stats, not including missing 3 games.
Fair enough. I guess I just get tired of qb’s always seeming to win MVP. And yes, I should have included Gurley in the talk all though I’m taking Bell every day over him.
-
Don’t agree. Had 4 or 5 games in row mid to 3/4 of way through season where numbers were ok but not overwhelming. Should have been Bell or Brown. Guess it will always be a qb anymore. Brady is best ever but why always a qb?

Cal said after game that JV had a so so game and still grabbed 11 rebounds. My first game there this year and man he does a lot of the garbage work that goes unnoticed and doesn’t show up in stat sheet.
