This game, and tournament to be honest, was great for the state. A LOT of new blood and a lot of small communities through the state made it to Rupp. It was definitely a special week!

Nothing against Evangel Christian but I would love to see Harlan Co. and Lyon Co. in the finals.
Absolutely!

Lyon is going to have to be filling it up from deep to get this W. Give my GC by 12

After what I just witnessed, Trent Noah!
100%. Size, rebounding, and equal shooting ability.

No knock on WC but I would like to have seen how far BG would have gone.
That’s a question going through the heads of A LOT of people on Rockingham.

Noah’s as good if not better than advertised.

Harlan get out of trouble with a free timeout? Hmm

WC can hopefully play some defense this half.

Great teams find a way to pull through. Let’s see what GC is made of.

BC may not win, but they won’t go down without a fight!

Newport and Campbell County….16 miles apart from each other will drive close to 100 miles to play each other, March Madness! Congratulations to both NKY teams. I wonder how many times two teams from the same county have ever faced each other in the boys state tournament?
Outside of Jefferson County, probably not much!

No other way to put it, shocking loss for BG. Probably rivals the 2011 collapse for me. Played with their food up 9 in the 3rd then forgot how to play the final 12 minutes of the game. WC seemed to want it more. Congratulations to the Dragons.
It was eerily similar to last year’s region final game, just roles reversed.

Mason Ritter did not play Friday night!
Was he hurt? Did he miss the bus? Should we be that more impressed by the margin? 🤔

A novel could be written about the last 15 years at WC and everything that’s transpired over that time. It’s honestly unbelievable.

Nobody picking Butler County to win the 3rd region is very strange to me. Ty Price (29.4ppg) and Lawson Rice (18.5ppg, 10.7rpg) are easily the best duo in the region and the supporting cast they have around them have good size and the ability to stretch the floor. I can understand the rebuttal, probably has to do with the depth, but they’ve done it all year at a high level and I don’t see that coming to a halt when it really counts.
The projected winner by every responder said Daviess County, the Panthers just went to Greenwood and lost by 5 last week, while the Bears earlier this year traveled to Bowling Green and blew the Gators out by 27. A very good Butler County team in Morgantown right now, and I almost forgot to mention, not a single SR on the team.
Was very impressed by them, I think they’re the team to beat in the 3rd.

Is Lyon’s Reddick still injured? He’s an important player for them. Starting guard.
From what I’ve read this was his first game back. I think he had 20?

BG needs to run through Ritter to get to Saturday morning in March.

Open Job: Wayne County
in KY Boys Basketball (High School)

I hope Coach Woods lands at another 12 region school, builds a powerhouse program, and serves that Super of Wayne County an entire humble pie!
When you lose someone of that stature from your school, let alone an athletic program, it has DEEP repercussions that some shallow thinkers don’t take into consideration.
