  1. This is a nice schedule for Lloyd and a new coaching staff. Several of these teams made the playoff's last year and should

be a competitive schedule. Not sure if Lloyd should be playing Holmes yet will be a big challenge however they have a new coach in Coach Nevel's former Lloyd coach. JD

  2. I would agree Billy Brumback was good so was Tim Wright that year he moved to the backfield when Jerry Arnold got hurt. Another on I forgot and maybe the best ever running back from Lloyd Eugene Luke. fulem63 there were several good players off the 1965 State Class A team, Chuck Luken was a beast. JD

  3. WOW I have been away for awhile with the new job and all. Well I will say this you can't pick only 3 best. You would have to break them down by every 5 or 10 years. Like some say Jon and Geoff Long were great players in the 60's, I will be partial I also thought my brother Ken Dunhoft led NKY in scoring and yards in 1968-69 season at Lloyd. Someone mentioned the 70's well you had David Smith, Mika Lockard, Mike Botts, Moe Molitor, that 76 team was loaded. You could go on and on about players like Marty Lenhof also kicked the longest field goal at N'Western his freshmen year. Jelani Brandon, Charles Sheffied, there are so many I can't remember them all. Someone mentioned Jerry Klein, Billy Lyons, Greg Kunkel and alot of these atheletes played several sports in High School. Thanks Gryche11 for the comment. I will need to make a better list with all the correct years. Of course Wheeler brothers, Greg Long another member of the Long Family. JD

  4. Someone asked what kind of football player was Coach Rash from Beechwood. He was a good high school player. However, when he played at Thomas More he was a great defensive machine and I can vouch for that. There were several of us who went and watched Coach Rash play when he was at Thomas More and they played home games at Dixie Heights. He had the heart of a lion and would flat out put a hurt on you. JD

  5. It was made official yesterday and Coach Eric Turner of Boone County is the new Lloyd Football coach welcome to Erlanger and to Juggernaut Football. I think he is going to be very please with what he has returning from last year. These young men of Lloyd are ready and can't wait until spring practice takes place. I understand a really good coach and a former Juggernaut is returning with Coach Turner and that is Coach Fulmer. Just wanted to wish you all best of luck and looking forward to some Juggernaut Football. I also understand that the former coaching staff at Lloyd will not be returning and I wish them the best in their endeavors. JD

  6. It was sad to here Josh Stratton was leaving. I also heard the young men of Lloyd was very upset last Thursday when he told them he was leaving however from what I hear Josh doesn't stay at one place more than two years at a time. I wish him well and he and his coaching staff were turning things around in Erlanger. As for Chevalier it would be great he had coached at Lloyd back when I was scouting for Rudi Tassini. A great young man with a great heart for players. Billy Lyons would be another good one however, with his son being a senior I don't think he would leave at this point. It is getting late and Lloyd will have to look hard for a good one at this point I wish them well. JD

  7. This UK team has no heart or desire to win period. When UK was on probation back in the day those teams played with more heart and desire than this team. I still love the CAT's and will watch them to the end. I still have a little faith for a big game at home Saturday and in the SEC tournament. Last night was just so embarrassing to watch two really bad team's play. I wish them the best Saturday and in the SEC tourney. GO CAT'S !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JD
