Great man from a great family. David brings with him tremendous pride, integrity and honor that will serve him well in this job. Nice to see a Covington kid from the old neighborhood making us all proud!

Patrick is the best I have seen, due largely because of what's between his ears. Great upbringing and support from his family and community. One player being left off these lists is Rob Whitten who played at Beechwood in the '80's. Rob was first team all state his senior year ('87) and wound up going to BYU. He left there and finished up at East Carolina. Not sure where he ranks, but should definitely be in the discussion. 6'2" and 210+ pounds back then, which was huge for that era.

It hurts! I will say this; in my opinion that is the best year of coaching for Noel. He dealt with adversity and injuries all year long and always had the boys ready to play. Great job Coach Rash on an amazing year.
