Varsity = Beechwood - Bertke if i'm not mistaken had a HR and a basehit. He hit real good. Cottingham is real solid behind the plate and threw some runners out. Pitchers only stayed for an inning each so hard to tell who did well or not but they shut the camels out so they the whole pitching staff did their job. Bertke also pitched real well for them. Brilz hit the ball solid too. The camels really couldn't find any holes and all their line drives went right at Beechwood. Just a rough day hitting wise for the camels. Shepard ans steffen got some base hits but that's about it. Beechwood looked solid fielding the ball with really no errors. The camels made a lot of mental mistakes while running and got doubled up alot on line drives. They will be fine once they start to hit. JV= Camels - Walsh the freshman had a pretty good game going 2 for 3 with a walk and an RBI. Little trouble fielding but was probably nervous.Their 2nd baseman Kramer is his last name, went 2 for 3 with a walk. He fielded pretty solid. Also the camels left bases loaded alot in the scrimmage. I don't really know anyone for Beechwood's JV because this is the first i have watched them but they were fundamentaly sound. Beechwood's starting pitcher Smith or something along them lines pitched well. Both were good game's to watch.

Campbell scrimmaged Beechwood yesterday. JV score was 4-2 Beechwood and varsity score was 3-0 Beechwood.
