  1. I don't know if this is a universal truth, but I've heard, "Nine, you're fine; ten, you're mine."

Just don't try it in Aberdeen, Higginsport, Mount Orab (OH).

Off subject but funny story about Higginsport OH. I received a ticket the summer before the big flood. My company said that they would pay it but never did. I realized my DL were suspend that winter after the flood. The town records had been lost in the flood and the only way I could pay the ticket was to call Lulu at some bar she worked part time at in the evenings. I thought I was thrown back in time to Mayberry.

  2. So easy. I place the bone side up in the crock pot. In the breast cavity I add about 2 t. garlic salt ,2-3 large sprigs of fresh rosemary and 1/2 stick of real butter. I add water to about 1/3 up side of turkey. Set on high and cook about 9 hours. Enjoy.

    Thanks for sharing!

  3. Tongue and Cheek aside most of the parents today grew up in everyone gets a ribbon era. Being able to learn from failure is just as important as celebrating successes. This is how we learn.

While at dinner with some of the wife's co-workers I over heard a conversation that they should get rid of the local JV coach because little Johnny was not getting any time while little Timmy has been moved to varsity. I had to bite my tongue to keep from saying that this is how it is suppose to work you goof.

  4. As of now looks like NKY maybe just looking at heavy rain and possible localized flooding. If the winds aloft stay strong some of the storms may turn severe with the primary threat being wind damage. This should happen closer to dawn on Tuesday.

    Thanks for the info.

  5. Cart ahead of the horse. Bluebirds are the real kings of the area. How many state titles does SK have.............. Crickets

But back to the topic, Hope Dixie wins.

I haven't taken the time to read the entire thread because it is the same story over and over. However I only had to read 5 post to see how great HHS is. Congrats on your thread highjack!

  6. Against a bigger, more physical defense?

IMO the Camel O line will be able to match the SK D line. Very experienced and good size as well. Keeping true with the Camel history the QB and the RBs are very hard nose, physical runners.

If (and that's a big word) the Camels control the ball and limit the turnovers they come away with the win. Turnovers were a big culprit in last years losses but I'm sure Coach has been working on that.

  7. I absolutely hate comparing how 2 teams did against a similar opponent. I mean people wanted to say the freshman SK team beat CC freshman pretty good so that meant SK should beat Highlands which did not happen. Some teams after getting big leads start working on things or they get their younger kids in.

Every game is a snowflake. Comparing teams played never works.

IMO Camels control the clock with the ground game. 4 yards and a cloud of dust. Camels defense is the true strength of the team. If they can pressure the yound SK QB this could be a long night for SK. I call a close game. 12-10 Camels.

  8. Like always. 6a teams on the run! You guys are waaaaayyyyy too easy!

BTW, did you look up the HHS - SC score from that year you lost bad to them in the playoffs? I'm telling you, it was a no contest that year they beat you by 40. No "my bad dog, I was wrong" or anything??

Since you keep bringing up HHS, I will say this. Because we really didn't play any NKY teams for a long time, I really don't think people understand what level HHS was on in recent years. I'm not tooting their horn and I'm not looking at this through blue goggles. I really think people lost touch of how good they really were. Nowadays, they hear HHS is down...the gap is closing. They are right! But all that means is they are not living in a different atmosphere in the next couple years like they have been. I am trying to say this without being the arrogant fan you think I am, but I really don't think people know because they either didn't see them play because their team didn't play them or they lost track of them because they never played in NKY. That changes starting next year. HHS comes back a little closer to reality. But anyone that thinks they are going to walk on them, even in the next couple years, is crazy. Just because HHS fans are letting it out that they may be down a little, keep in mind where the measuring stick for HHS football has been for several years.

If you really were trying not to sound like a HOMER, you failed!

  9. First on the pass to Dalton, the DB should have cut Dalton in two.

Second not sitting on the ball with 50 seconds left and turning it over.

Sooner or later that kind of play calling is going to bite us.

For years everyone has complained about the offensive play calling and how bland it was. I admit when I saw the Dalton play I thought he was toast, but I applaud the creativity shown.

Can't have it both ways! Keep them guessing.

  10. I remember begging teachers, when I got in trouble at school, not to call my parents. I knew what I had waiting for me at home was by far worse than any detention or punishment the teacher could give me. Now a days if a teacher says they will call the parents, the kid laughs and says go ahead and call.

I remember when my son was in the 6th grade he gave a teacher a hard time one day in class. I had him write an apology letter to the teacher and the class for waisting valuable class time. I also went to the class with him the next day while he read the letter to the entire class.

  11. Money makes the world go round. Why don't we just let the dust settle over there and then partner w/ them for their fuel. They can use all of the rhetoric that they want, they'll want business partners once they take over. It is either that, or go balls out to obliterate them. I'm not sure what endless air strikes will do.

This region of the world have been throwing rocks at one another for centuries. It will never end.
