  1. I had a lot of those symptoms and was diagnosed yesterday with bronchitis.

It's different for me because I'm younger than probably 75% of the readers on this site, but when I feel under the weather I try to drink a ton of fluid (water and gatorade) and work out as much as I can in order to "sweat the sickness out."

...or you can go on a good drinking binge! Make the inside of your body so miserable that nothing wants to be in there.

Sure you will have a hangover but that usually only last for a day and after that problem solved.

  2. Been on the road forever it seems. Big dinners, many drinks, etc. So Friday night I'm back in town and it was scallops at Knotty Pine, Saturday was a BLT and Sunday night was steak at Walt's.

So finally last night I heated up the stranger on the back porch and grilled chicken. I missed the grill. Simple chicken with a little Cajun spice and threw some Brussel sprouts with bacon on next to them. Mrs. TAC made some rice and sautéed mushrooms.

So simple but it really hit the spot.

She has a meatloaf in the crockpot for tonight. Home cooked meals! Yummy!

Do you mind sharing the recipe for crockpot meatloaf? Sounds awesome!

  3. I don't think Ryle was in a down cycle as much as they were underutilizing their talent. That's why a change was made and you see the result of that in year 2.

Call it what you want but my point is that Ryle along with every other 6A program in NKY has up and downs. That's just how it is with the large school districts. A indicator of how good a program/coaching staff/administration is how quickly can they rebound.

  4. Public school's talent comes and goes in cycles. For anyone to say any different is just not true. I haven't had a dog in the fight for several years now but keep up with the times. Ryle is coming out of a cycle where they were down and the Ryle Faithful was jumping off of the ship like sinking rats. Campbell had a decent run ( would have like to seen deeper playoff runs) but is in the midst of trying to find out who they are or trying to be.

The only team that has substained a decent run in recent years is SK and even they have had some bumps and bruises.

Enjoy your team while they are having a good run. Hopefully it last for several season. Be careful of who you step on in the meantime because the fact still remains that your program will cycle down and the others will catch up.

  5. When the whole family would sit out in the yard on nice summer evenings bonding and looking up at the stars, or playing the game Riddly Diddly, or singing songs while trying not to engage ourselves in too much of an involved way with the regular neighborhood alcoholics walking back and forth to the corner liquor store for another pint of whiskey, or some of the neighborhood mothers chasing their barefooted children up and down the hard sidewalks with belts and threats of a good whoopin', or the excitement that would cease the peace and quiet when cops showed up to break up drunken fights down the street, and my parents would eventually give the order that it was time to go back in the house.

We must have been neighbors. I do miss the good ole days!

  6. Well that shoots that theory to crap. :lol2: Carry on.

Johnny is one of those guys that doesn't give maximum effort on every pitch but reaches back when he needs it. He's not hurt, my guess too much of a rest from the ALL STAR break.

The other thing to take into consideration is the he gets raddled easily ( playoff game againt Pirates). My guess is that he knows every game is an audition and let the nerves get the best of him.
