Colonels vs. Birds in the 2024 home opener on August 30th. Love it!

I'm pretty positive this season's schedule is just the same as last years with the locations swapped for the games. I know for sure that those first 6 games are correct.

That would make the 2024 schedule:

    Aug 23 at Ryle
    Aug 30 vs. Highlands
    Sep 6 vs. Simon Kenton
    Sep 13 at Dixie Heights
    Sep 20 vs. Beechwood
    Sep 27 at Holmes (District)
Oct 4 vs. Grant County (District)
    Oct 11 - BYE
Oct 18 at Harrison County (District)
Oct 25 vs. Mason County (District)
    Nov 1 at Campbell County

I believe Paducah Tilghman is genuinely stock piling enough talent to beat Boyle Co!

    Was the tweet deleted?

It looks like the tweets were deleted. The Hinton twins both played last year at East Hamilton High School down near Chattanooga, TN. The team was 6-5 and lost in the opening round of the 5A playoffs in Tennessee last year (the second-largest class).

Vanzale is a 3-star WR/CB, Class of 2025. Last year in 10 games played he had 58 receptions for 850 yards and 10 touchdowns. That's about 6 receptions per game and 15 yards per catch. On defense he had 37 silo tackles,5 assisted tackles, 1 interception, and 1 fumble recovery. He currently holds offers from Liberty University, Miami (OH), UT Martin, Wofford College, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Purdue, Austin Peay, Toledo, Tulane, and Eastern Kentucky.

Michael is a RB/LB, Class of 2025. In 10 games played he had 132 carries for 675 yards and 8 touchdowns. That figures to a little over 5 yards per carry. On defense he had 55 solo tackles, 21 assisted tackles, 1 sack and 2 fumble recoveries. I don't believe he's received any college offers yet.

Vanzale's Twitter and Hudl accounts still show him as being at East Hamilton, but Michael's show him as a Paducah-Tilghman student.

    The Douglass JV schedule:

    Scott Co. (home and home)

    Bryan Station (home and home)

    Corbin

    Madison Cent.

    Great Crossing

    Looking for 2 more teams

Oh man, I'd love to see them connect with Cov Cath for a JV game. Aside from their 1 point loss to Highlands and their 7 point win over Ryle, they more or less steamrolled everyone the rest of the season. They didn't even play JV games against three of the four teams in their district - Holmes didn't field a JV team, and Grant County & Harrison County either didn't field JV teams or else declined to play us. They managed to pick up a game against Boone County, but I'd LOVE to see them challenge themselves against Douglass. Might be worth an email or phone call.

Unfortunately, for unknown reasons Isaac has left school.   He's been gone for nearly a month.   Krallman could be anywhere from MLB, OLB to defensive end.   He started out last season at MLB then got moved to OLB and finished at DE.   Could see Bessler at OLB, DE or Nose as well , but Bessler is the only senior that can play both the WIL and SAM positions so, not sure where that leaves him.

Dang, that's a huge bummer about Isaac Mason. I was told Ben McEvoy has dropped football for for his senior year as well. McEvoy was a really solid utility player to have on the team...solid running back, decent receiver, and not a bad defensive back either. And granted, Owen Leen and Evan Pitzer were our top rushers by a big margin, and then Braylon Miller came in third behind them for rushing yards, but McEvoy would have actually been our leading rusher returning for this upcoming season had he stayed on the team.

Spring practice starts on Monday. I'm really interested to find out what Coach Eviston comes up with for our offensive backfield.

CCH Senior, Caden Miller, has announced he'll take a Gap/Prep School year at Moravian Prep in NC.

Miller was D1 POY and joined the 1,000 pt club this year.

I believe he had offers from Arkansas and EKU with interest from UC and XU.  Wondering what the extra year of play will do for his recruiting? I am unfamiliar with Moravian and the Overtime Elite league.

DePaul, Mississippi State, Central Arkansas, Missouri, and Eastern Kentucky all had extended offers to Caden, at least at one point.

I Googled the Overtime Elite League when I saw Caden's tweet yesterday. It's a developmental youth league for kids age 16-20, and it just wrapped up its third year in existence. There were like 6 or 8 teams in the league, and I believe it said the players are all paid to play. It looked like OTE has produced a few NBA draftees, about a half-dozen more who signed in the NBA as unrestricted free agents, another handful who've signed into the NBA G-League, and and one or two have gone on to D1 colleges. I'm not sure how players can advance from the OTE League to play in the NCAA after playing in a paid league, though...maybe you can wave the salary if you're hoping to go the college route?
