  1. Just don't see that. Ryle played a much tougher schedule than Beechwood. Nothing personal, but BHS' schedule was packed with the likes of Calvary (2x), Heritage (2x), Ludlow (2x), Dayton (2x), Bellevue (2x), Silver Grove (2x), and Villa (2x). But we're each entitled to our own opinions.

We have already established in a different thread that Beechwood is forced to play those school twice a year because they are in the DIII conference.:ohbrother:

  2. On the Div III awards, I was just checking out Beechwood's record and I noticed Beechwood played Calvary Christian twice. First game BW wins 67-47 and second game BW wins 74-50. After seeing that, I think the BW supporters have a legitimate gripe about the awards. When you go 14-0 in Div III and have a player like Beuttel, it doesn't seem right for him to not win the POY award.

Finally someone sees my point on arguing why Beechwood didn't win awards!

  3. How are there no Beechwood players getting the D3 awards when the didn't just beat their competition, they completely destroyed them by an average of 22 points per game.

In my opinion the awards should have been as the following:

    POY- Blake Bryan or Beuttel

Defensive player of the year- Romes

    Mr. Hustle- Nathan Snyder

  4. Im not saying they are complaining, but I've seen comments that have given me the impression that fans think the team deserves more respect in this area over the past couple years. Which probaby is true from the wins they are getting over the bigger schools, but I was just questioning the schedule. I didn't realize D3 had to play each other twice. D2 and D1, that isn't the case. But just to prove my point, here are some quotes that show why my impression was that Beechwood wanted more respect.

If im not mistaken those comments were from the very beginning of the season when everybody but Eta Roh was hating on them. Sorry, but you have been proven wrong in this thread.

  5. Brady Slusher from Beechwood. Great leader on the field. He sacrificed a lot for the team by moving in to play offensive tackle his senior year. Always hustling till the whistle blows. My favorite play of the season was one long TD run where over a 30 yard span he singlehandedly took out the pursuit with three downfield blocks, including a total decleater on the last guy, and then was running full speed just behind the running back when he crossed the goal line. There is no doubt in my mind there isn't another offensive tackle in the state with the speed and athleticism to do what he did on that play. Good luck to Brady at UC as a preferred walk on. They are going to love him!

Couldn't agree with you anymore on that. Beechwood fans are also going to miss Nieco Tiepel as their runningback too, where is he going to play in college?
