Owen County's PA Announcer openly roots for the Rebels over the microphone. I look for Holy Cross to shut him up. HC by 3+ TD's.

Being that he is a OC Rebels football alumni, it is probably difficult not to be a little biased.

I'd say 6-3 or 6-4 and around 185. I have never been good at the carnival games though..lol.

I am going with Owen by a TD. I really think HC is looking past Owen and on to the 3rd round when they will likely face off NCC. If OC comes out to play like I know they can, I believe they will take HC by surprise. I have a feeling Owen County's players are confident, but I am looking for HC's players to be OVERconfident. Looking forward to this match up.

Win, lose or draw next Friday night, the Rebels and the entire community have had a dream season. Going 10-0, winning the district by a land slide, winning a play-off game, breaking several school records, police escorts into town, pep rallies, parades, special dinners, several tv reports, 10-0 tee shirts, fireworks, helicopters, standing room only at games etc.. These boys have special memories that no one will ever take away. And I wouldn't count them out yet.

Exactly! No matter what happens, they have so much to be proud of...but I wouldn't count them out either!

Also, don't forget cutting Coach Fowler's hair with goat clippers into a sweet mullet.

Not a surprise, but nice job by Owen County of putting to rest questions about their ability. Some had them losing tonight. But next week will be tougher...

Of course their game next week will be tougher, just like every other team in the state. That is usually how playoffs work...

How do you leave out 10-0 Owen County?

That's what I was getting at too...I have seen them ranked as high as #5 this week by other polls.

What does it take for a team to make this list?

Coach Fowler has totally changed the football culture at OC. The class of 2012 were freshmen when he came to Owen County. The year before that was possibly the worst year Owen County Football ever had in terms of record, moral, discipline, you name it and this year they are undefeated and the boys and fans are having the times of their lives. I don't know enough about the other coaches mentioned on here to know if Coch Fowler deserves coach of the year or not but he has definately done a great job.

I believe this will be the toughest game for the Rebels so far this season, but I look for them to come out on top.

Definitely Coach Fowler of Owen County...He has accomplished things with that program that has never been accomplished in school history. Owen County haven't had a winning season since who knows when. He gets the most out of his players and that is what it takes to be a good coach and have a successful program. He gets my vote!

Senior tight end, Sawyer Williams, made school history last night by being the first Rebel to ever have 1,000 yards receiving in a single season. Congrats, Sawyer!

Owen County will take on Gallatin Co in Warson this Friday night. Predictions?

Why are they the better success stories? Because they have not played anyone as of yet? They are filling their Wins stat with beating nobody,,,,,,,,,, Talk with me when they have played someone in their class...... Just because you have never had success doesn't mean you get it when you beat the likes of people on their schedule....

This group of OC Seniors have now won more games this season than they have in their 3 previous seasons combined. They are winning their games...what more can you ask? Regardless of their schedule strength this season or in previous seasons, they have won every game they have played this season and are having the times of their lives...This is not something they have experienced before in their high school career and I think they will surprise a lot people in the play offs. Quit drinking your 'haterade' and let them enjoy their success.

There is no doubt that Walton’s academic ranking and small class size are attractive to both students and parents. To infer anything else is just silly.

:laugh: Yeah, I heard that Kinmon started at Walton this year and when he went back to Grant he just couldn't cope with the large class size and went back to Walton. :laugh:

I think this may be Owen's toughest fight so far but I look for them to come out ahead by 2 touchdowns.

Walton-Verona

:thumb: Walton Verona doesn't even have locker rooms! Our guys had to strip down to their underwear on the track after the game. It was absolutely freezing but they had no where else to go...That was while the WV players sat in their nice, new field house.

What are some of the best and worst visitor locker rooms you have encountered?
